I have the same problem. Support keeps silent
I opened a ticket in mantis about the same problem I have with three titles and I was responded that the possible problem/bug has been reported to the developers.

So now it is just a question of waiting, or you could open a similar ticket and give visibility/priority to it.

EDIT: Reviewing my library I have noticed that my three games that suffered the same glitch as you are corrected.

SOLUTION
well i just reinstalled the launcher and erased the data from "C:\Users$USERNAME\AppData\Local\GOG.com\Galaxy"

$USERNAME= your user name (?

now i can see the grid images
Hi!

Maybe this fixes your problems: RepairGOG-GalaxyImages

I also had some games not showing up in the grid, so after some research and programming and had this little tool and now all images are showing up correctly.

Happy gaming!

Hmm that program worked for my GOG game library but it didn't work for my Epic Games library and the images there are still broken :(

What do you mean by "Epic Games library"? The games imported from "Epic Games"? I use the plugin, too, and it works for me. If you have problems with images showing up in Epic Games itself, this tool isn't for you. Sorry.

"It didn't work" is a very broad spectrum. What do you mean by that?
If not all thumbnails are recovered you have to run the tool multiple times. You have to close the app before running the tool, too. It could also mean that there are some errors in combination with antivirus software or anything in between...

I mean that none of the images are fixed. I ran it with Galaxy closed, and my antivirus disabled and everything. For the record, I used this program once before, and it worked then.

The problem is the actual Galaxy version. It doies not work with the script. Uninstall Galaxy and install this version:

https://content-system.gog.com/open_link/download?path=/open/galaxy/client/2.0.71.2/setup_galaxy_2.0.71.2.exe

Then you can run the script and fix your boxarts. After they've been fixed you can update to the latest Galaxy version again. That's what I did.
Indeed: the current version of GOG Galaxy is causing RepairGOG-GalaxyImages not to work while still having the years old bug with the cover images sometimes not showing...
The problem is: GOG Galaxy simply does not download the cover image at all. No 0 byte file. Nothing. Since it seems nearly impossible to find the game ID by folder name I can't get a list of images for a game to download. I tried some workarounds but it costs so much time and it seems there is no "easy fix" for this on my side.
Bugfixing the problem itself is something the developers at GOG should do!

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Since your script did indeed work pretty good for earlier versions of Galaxy this is what I would suggest:

1) Uninstall Galaxy
2) Reinstall older version of Galaxy like this
https://content-system.gog.com/open_link/download?path=/open/galaxy/client/2.0.71.2/setup_galaxy_2.0.71.2.exe
3) Use Repair script and repair all images.
http://48design.de/en/news/2023/08/29/gog-galaxy-repair-images/#gog-galaxy-bug
4) Check for Galaxy updates and let Galaxy update itself with all images intact.

That was the way it worked for me.
