Gydion: Don't ever read Momo1991's blog. To be fair they haven't acted on it ... yet ... to my knowledge.

One of our members here has gotten threats from axe murderers...? I don't know what you're referring to but I hope this is a joke. You never know though, there's always the 0.01% risk that individuals on the net are serious about threats.

I've heard of threats to one degree of seriousness or another but nothing since I joined so I've never actually seen anything.
Personally, If I buy a bundle and I own a couple of the games already it seems silly just to let those keys go to waste, sitting around doing nothing, I'm surprised you don't find more people like us elsewhere

People, like Xylem, who regularly give away games out of their own pockets are real heros though - hats off to them!

The giveaway community owes a lot to Ceemdee. Just saying.

lol i took it but it was free /// thanks anyways :)
The main reason is that games on GOG.com are cheap. You won't see many $50 games given away, but $6 giveaways don't harm one's wallet significantly. Notice that you don't usually see many $10+ giveaway on here either. ;)

Materialistic reasons aside, when people like a certain game really much, they want to share it with older people. Who among us hasn't at least tried to show our favourite game to unenthusiastic friends or spouses? In the same way, we tend to spread the gospel of a great game to everyone who might have missed it. Furthermore, people who have won something in a giveaway feel obliged to do the same for others.

Finally, it's a win-win-win situations. Winners get games, people who give games away get this warm, fuzzy feeling, and GOG.com gets more revenue!
Man, there must really be some donkey haters in here. XD Sorry for bringing it up and I'll 86 my plans for posting pictures of them when we pick them up. :D
