I dunno but I think that generosity and kindness are traits that can be engendered by example. Just like the opposite is true... We all decide which path to take, right? But the choosing of the path is based on what we see and learn from those around us.

In real life, if you give something to a stranger out of the blue, they can -in some situations- react a bit paranoid because they might have experienced/seen/heard bad things before and can almost not believe you're actually not up to anything evil.

Here on GOG, there is an already well established culture of strangers giving things to each other without planning axe murder (I assume) or expecting anything in return. Only thing that is expected is that if you win something somewhere around here, it's seen as decent to pass on the favor to some other person and thus perpetuating the whole tradition.
