Would GOG ever release adult oriented games, or games rated "AO" (adult only) ?

I've personally played all the way through the game "BoneTown", and it wasn't that bad of a game, the gameplay is similar to a cartoony Grand Theft Auto (minus the cars, but add magical abilities), or "Magna Cum Laude".

What do you guys think? Should GOG allow games like this?

They are aleady selling some AO-rated games:

http://www.gog.com/game/fahrenheit_indigo_prophecy
By this I mean, the AO rating itself is not the problem. But GOG is understandably picky and I guess whether they'll accept such games is up to how many people want it, if they judge by wishlist votes or something.

If the game play is actually good in and of itself then I'd have no objections to GOG allowing something like that. However, if the game play is crap and it's *just* porn material.then I don't think they should. Nothing wrong with porn if you're into that sort of thing but I just don't think GOG is the place for it.

I feel the same way about ultra violent games that are just about "shocking" gore and are lacking as actual games.

Good point, I didn't even think of the fact that Fahrenheit is unrated.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I actually completed BoneTown with 100% completion a few years ago, looking at the screens (strangely) makes me want to play it again. It had some bad taste humor, but fun overall feel and a good soundtrack.

I was just wondering if GOG would flat out avoid games like this due the the nature etc.

As long as it's handled well, I don't mind seeing adult oriented games on the GOG. They might want to make certain screenshots invisible to guests and people who's accounts deem them under a certain age to avoid problems with parents. If anything, it should be clear which games are AO when someone views a list of games on sale.

I'm curious about BoneTown. What do you like about it? I have no interest in the 'boning' activity it offers and was wondering just how 'GTA' it is. It seems like a sandbox GTA-like with sexuality mixed into the pudding.
