Why, ObsCure is, it's so hard to find, you can't even find it on GOG anymore!
:D

there were legal issues and GOG is doing it's best to restore the game to the catalogue.
Splendid... so they took it off, thinking "Let's just hope no one wants to buy it before we can get it back"?
While I can understand there might have been factors which made them not tell about the revocation to us, I suspect there are members who will not take this easy...

So basically what I said in post 13, and others said in their posts already ¬_¬.

It may also be that they themselves had no warning and did not have the ability to offer a grace period. Such as if they were sent a C&D.

I wasn't referring to their not promoting the revocation, but about the fact that they should have stated somewhere (either on the game page, or, rather, in a forum thread) that the game has already become unavailable, but they are working on it.

I guess, I just remembered it having licensed music. On an another note, I find it funny that my ¬_¬ emoticon comes out as question marks for eyes when you quote it.

While I agree with that point, remember the fuss that happened when they did state it for previous games? Perhaps they didn't want to go through all that again?

Yeah, I got the same answer from them, but since they didn't say anything in the forum officially, even though I explicitly asked them to, I thought the legal issues might prevent them from commenting on the issue publically, so I didn't post it, in case GOG would get into trouble over it.

I agree, and, like I've stated previously, I can understand them, but I only hope there won't be too many users getting worked up over the fact they weren't even notified...

Not nice.
A notification should have been issued.
Luckily I got it during the Christmas sale, but I would not be happy to see this happening on any other game waiting on my wishlist.

This is internet, they should've known that sooner or later someone will find out. And the fuss would be greater since now there's a perceived lack of communication and transparency.

Well, at least 'Sorry, we couldn't comment on it right now due to legality issues' would've been nice. :/

This is the internet. Once something is in one place, it's everywhere.
But I agree, they should have notified us, and I've asked them to, twice.
That legal issues can remove a game after such a short period in the catalogue is aggravating.
Then again, that's what we have lawyers for. Wasting everybody elses time.
I doubt that the agreement precludes any statement about the status of the game though, so they really should get official word out that this game will be unavailable for the foreseeable future.
well, Operation Flashpoint is still not here, and it has disappeared just the same
Bah, if the games are going to just be removed then don't waste the time putting them up. Frustrating to both parties I am sure.
