Tales of Monkey Island, all Sam & Max games, and more from Telltale 80% off.

For the last 8 years the talented people at the Telltale Games studio have been delivering the best point-n-click adventures, featuring many of the all-time favorite characters, to our computers' screens. Their episodic publishing formula allowed a steady flow of development and gave the devs time to carefully and lovingly polish all the fine details of their games. Each episode is a little shiny gem, priceless and unique. But here's a thing about buying jewels: you can usually only afford one at a time. So what if you want to catch up with a whole season of episodes of a Telltale adventure--an equivalent of a box full of jewels? You [url=http://www.gog.com/en/promo/telltale_weekend_promo_9_11_12/]get it 80% off on GOG.com!

The Tales of Monkey Island--starring the world famous hapless pirate, Guybrush Threepwood--offers five chapters of fantastic fun for less than $7!

Back to the Future: The Game offers you a glimpse into the adventures of Marty McFly and Doc Brown, that took place after (or before--time travel is tricky) the movie storyline. Get it for less than $5!

Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures features the very British pair of comedians, that starred in many critically acclaimed movies (well, stop-motion claynimations, actually). The entire season of four episodes can be yours for less than $4!

And last, but not in any way the least: Sam and Max, the freelance sleuth duo consisting of a dog in a trenchcoat and notoriously naked white rabbit, are well known to any adventure fan. Now you can get the entire collection of their adventures--all sixteen episodes produced by Telltale spanning over three seasons: Sam & Max Save the World, Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space, and Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse--for less than $20!

The GOG.com point-n-click all you can eat buffet is now open, so you can finally satisfy your hunger for great Telltale adventures, 80% off! The promo will last until Tuesday, November 13, at 4:59AM GMT.

And in case you missed it, here's what's new... I mean: here's the new episode of our weekly show:
please could mac versions be added (they are available elsewhere)?
Is it possible to get the other Telltale Games here? Jurassic Park and Walking Dead? I played BTTF and Monkey Island on the Wii before. I wasn't terribly fond of either. JP and WD though look interesting.
If I was to buy one of these which game should I get? All of them look interesting. However, I don't have the money to shell out for more then one.

I would say Tales of Monkey Island. The Sam & Max series is equally awesome and funny. Since you're getting just one for now, though, Monkey Island would be my choice since it's just one season. .

Jurassic Park is a QTE game that was not very good and that got very poor reviews. Not sure if they'll see fit to release it here.

The Walking Dead is not finished (still one episode to go, this month), so we must wait. But I'd bet they'll wait a few months before releasing it DRM-free (also, we don't know the licensing deal so details could prevent it). They would also need to modify the game as we cannot download all the episodes: we need to download the first episode and then additional episodes from a menu in the first episode (not very practical).

People that don't know which game to buy should go for Tales of Monkey Island. It is the best of those games with season 3 of Sam & Max (but you'd better know season 1 & 2 for that one). Back to the Future is great but easier and should be mostly for fans of the license (but who isn't ? :-) ).

Wallace & Gromit was nice but easy. For fans also.

koima57: Sorry azerty is my french / european keyboard layout, WASD become ZQSD here. But not for a few games including this one, ah well the arrow keys still work for this one.

avatar
KainDrake: what's azerty? Well, moving around isn't that hard to get used to. Just use WASD to move around. The orientation does get a little annoying when the camera changes.

Oh, I see. Sorry, I didn't realize the european layout would be different. :p But, yeah, that's good that it also uses the arrow keys, which is good because that's really the only reason you need the keyboard for.
