damn it GOG here I was hoping for another sale with nothing I want, but noo you just had to go and make a promo filled with games I want after I spent enough money on this site the past two weeks. Sigh, well luckily I already picked up most of the games in different sales so it wasn't so bad money wise since I only needed to pick up Psychonauts and the two Gianna sister's games. Still though try and think of my poor wallet and bank account you vile temptresses.

Völgarr come aboard! We need a new tough scandinavian fighter like you in our rows! The old one (Römm from Sweden) has retired... :)
What's with the $ 6.66 amount for Escape Goat 2. Is GOG trying to express something via the pricing for the theme of the game?
Any thoughts on Windforge? I know it was kind of a buggy mess when it was released, but now that it's had numerous patches, is it a game worth my time that'll have enough variety to keep me playing?

It's just because of the 30% discount... i hope.. :-d muahahahahah...
Picked up Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project, which I was waiting for a discount on.
I will wait for a better discount on the 6 games I don't have on GOG in this promo. My backlog is too big as it is.

Agreed. I have most of the games in this promo (including DNMP), and I have yet to beat ANY of them. Seems most of us have huge backlogs that need tending to.

I've also been curious about Windforge but have stayed away given the disasterious bugs on launch.

The game has had quite a few patches already and it's in a much better state now :)

edit: I invite you to peruse the Windforge subforum to see for yourself :)

froggygraphics: so not my favorite genre, but I like all genre's and have never bought a platformer from gog.

So with that said, if I was going to by a platformer (and i'm and old guy so I think of the old stuff like Mario etc. or a puzzle platformer like lemmings which I loved all those years ago)

what would somebody recommend if I were to buy just one?

Also, it should have a Mac version.

I was thinking Escape Goat as that seems popular and well received?
Hi, I realise this is a bit of a late reply but I haven't been checking this thread. The sale is still on anyway :)!

I would definitely recommend "Escape Goat". I'm not into platformers at all, but this game I liked. It's fairly easy (once you figure out the solution) and relies more on your mind that your finger, there are not many levels which require lightning reflexes and split second timing. Each level is a single screen, there is no side-scrolling.

I'm on a Mac too, the Mac version has a bug where sometimes the saws won't cut, but restarting the level will eventually fix it (the developers have said they are working on a bug fix too). There is one level where this can be real problem, but as I said you just need to restart the level often enough and eventually the saws will work.
