Help Tex Murphy solve a murder case and win great prizes!

[url=http://www.gog.com/game/tesla_effect_a_tex_murphy_adventure]Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure (up for pre-orders now, for only $17.99!) is going to be great for many things, but what we enjoy about it the most is going back to the series best campy full-motion video traditions. The lost art of incorporating b-movie footage in-game is finally making a welcome comeback to modern game design. That calls for a celebration. And what better way is there to celebrate art, than to partake in a creative activity? Using the provided unused footage filmed for Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure (you can find the source video content here) create your own video that will give Tex a vital clue to solve a murder, and then email the link to contest@gog.com before <s>May 1</s> May 7, 11.00 AM GMT.

Of course, we couldn't deny ourselves the pleasure of creating our very own remix. Especially since we had our very own Nikola Tesla lookalike loitering around the office. Well, here it is, for what its worth. Maybe it will give you some incentive to do better than we did ;-)

<iframe width="590" height="332" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/2v2hrT_Tt84?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

The prizes include three Tesla Effect Swag Bags (Shot Glass, T-Shirt, Soundtrack and Buttons) and heaps of codes for all the classic Tex Murphy games on GOG.com for the runner-ups!

EDIT:
As per expected Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure release delay, the deadline for submissions is now pushed back to May 7.

It's not quite neon bright luma- green, and it's really poorly stitched, but it works.

F4LL0UT: Twenty bucks, eh? Now if I could only afford a camera.
I recommend if you're really serious about video production that you break into a middle class home and steal theirs. They have insurance after all.

Stealing, eh? Now if I could only afford a crowbar...
I hear Gordon Freeman has one. If you ask real nicely he might loan it to you.

I suggest you put in an advertisement to sell something worth a lot of money in a paper, include your address. Now just wait and someone will show up at a late hour with a crowbar intending to relieve you of that expensive thing (which you don't have), then steal their crowbar.

When people later ask you how you got into Videos you can say with a crowbar :)

jabbapop: Man how did I do it. How did I make a video to Tex so fast? Why, it's just a testament to my support and dedication!

You're just jealous because his impression of a naked man was better than your Tesla.

His impression of a naked man who is oddly comfortable drinking coffee in the buff while in front of Tex Murphy is spot on.

EDIT: modification error. :(

well I mean I was trying to add subtext what with tex having amnesia I thought "wouldn't it be fun to play a character who has an unrevealed history with tex and consequently is more comfortable with tex than tex is with him."

Edit: *grips academy award close to heart* "You love me, you really really love me!"

HAHAHAHA This is beautiful. This by default wins something.

In other news, why the loss of EnigmaticT's moustache? The world has become a dark place indeed.

Did you actually see that mustache? It's a gruesome thing.

Nothing a little touchup and organization can't fix.

Too bad I've never had the time to play Tex Murphy. I played all of the Journeyman Projects this weekend so I wonder if it's possible to binge Tex before this is released/contest ends?
I can't believe that I almost missed the deadline! Thankfully it was extended by a few days! To be honest, I'm really disappointed in the lack of entries into this contest! I guess the need for green screen work really cuts down on the possible attempts. Anyway, check out my video contest entry here!
