mistermumbles: Played it for a bit. Not bad, though I do get the impression it's a fair bit easier than the original TotD. I'd wish 'hardcore' mode was available from the start - apparently you'll have to retype words if you mistype then - because 'mother****er' still isn't all that challenging. Otherwise the game is fun in its very corny grindhouse way. Though I'm trying to figure out why it takes so long to load anything (while it isn't loading). Seems like its taking its sweet time there. Hm.

It's not a real looker, which is as expected due to its Wii origin (lower quality source art assets), but it gets the job done. Aside from the mentioned odd loading times everything seems to run smoothly.

pedrovay2003: For anyone who has already bought this, can you see if it's DRM-free by running the program without Steam going? That'd be fantastic if it worked.

mistermumbles: Nope. It needs Steam running to work.
Yeah, but that is mostly because Overkill was BY FAR the easiest House of the Dead to begin with. Two players? The bosses are literal jokes, unlike the arcade games where the bosses became harder with another player.

Ah, well, thanks for checking. It was worth a shot.
According to the Steam page, this is a single player game. So why is a broadband internet connection required for a game with no real online features except leaderboards?

Overkill was really easy, it's not a surprise this one is not that difficult either.
I've heard a few complaints about loading but for me they are really short. 4 seconds at most. Weird
Heh. Not available in Germany.

Gamersgate, GGG and GMG won't do Germany either.

So much for digital distribution being the bastion of freedom, eh? Cunts.
