The Longest Journey stream series, now complete!

Hey GOG staff, can I watch the stream without risking spoilers? I've only played to TLJ.

Anyway, I'm not sure about the previous Dreamfall part, should I skip it to this? (hoping that it will be more like TLJ)

If you plan to play Dreamfall then I would seriously advise you to not watch this stream, because you'll get more than major spoilers about the (notorious cliffhanger) end of Dreamfall. It's a direct continuation of where we were left off at the end of the previous game.

Thank you for the advice.
I'm not sure if Dreamfall is worth or skippable, so I'll avoid the stream for now.

Dreamfall Chapters is more different from Dreamfall than Dreamfall was from TLJ. I wouldn't say it's more like TLJ at all, but is it's own, worthy beast. Dreamfall has some low points but is still worth playing, and I don't know if Dreamfall Chapters will be as good without having at least watched the first two games to follow the story.

Now what to do?
Quill's last stream made me want to buy Dreamfall, and if I watch this stream now I'll spoiler stuff for me?
But the last stream was so entertaining that I want to watch this one as well!

Well, to elaborate on my reply above:

If you watch the beggining of Dreamfall: Chapters you will be totally spoiled about the ending of the first Dreamfall (about where the journeys of the 3 main characters ended), but to be frank the majority of Dreamfall's story won't be much spoiled.

It's like when watching the Prequel Trilogy in Star Wars (after having seen the Original Trilogy). You know where every main character will eventually end up, but you still don't know how they'll get there. And the Journey (a big part of these games) is as important as the Destination. It's up to each individual to judge if they are bothered enough by knowing the end point or not.

Well, if you have spare time (and it's conveniently a weekend now!) you could always get the first Dreamfall and play through it (should be a 10-12 hours business, it's much shorter that The Longest Journey), or alternatively watch a full playthrough of it on Youtube (there are many) and *then* see the recorded stream of Quill playing it a day or two later.

Stream is over, that was quite interesting and not so spoilerish for people like me who never played the first two games and don't have a clue about the story :) I'll surely buy it when I get done with the first two ;)
