IAmSinistar: Yes, seems the algorithm draws from a bottom tier if you do all or most items as Pots Of Gold, with a rare randomisation that throws in the occasional different game. I've done a LOT of rolls and the pattern is very evident, with recurrent titles that are predictable now.

I also believe, as others have speculated, that the pots may draw from different pools depending on the value of the rest of your cart.
Hmm, don't know what to think - no matter what combination of games I put into my cart, my last few rolls always end up with Painkiller Black Edition as a Pot of Gold.

Fesin: Goddammit, it's so frustrating. I always roll two games I already have, Alien Shooter, Zombie Shooter and Zombie Shooter 2.

No. My first two carts were both 5 pots each and both were awesome. The final (fifth) cart contained two list games and three pot games one of which I owned, and it still turned out to be Deadly Premonition (no, I didn't reroll for it - I thought a less expensive one would be less demanding hardwarewise and thus easier to get off my hands so I didn't care which one it would be).

I also get the impression that your chances get lower and lower the more you buy.

I have to say, I'm really disappointed now. At first I thought the idea was really awesome, and I like gambling, so I insta-bought 8 POGs, but now that I got a glimpse of how shitty the system is that GOG.com put in place, I'm really disappointed. It seems I now don't have any chances anymore to get the games I want.
How to see your pot of gold: (don't do this if you like surprises)

I've been rolling for over an hour but have yet to see any of my big three. Has anyone seen them at all recently?

Aarklash Legacy
Deponia 3 Goodbye Deponia
Memoria

I have seen Amnesia machine for pigs fairly often. Also the shooters, so they will be easy to grab. But those three are my holy grail for this event. I already own everything else on offer.

I need some sleep. I'll be back in about 12 hours or so to try again. Good luck rolling what you are after everyone!
I just want to buy Smugglers V and Expeditions:Conquistador; but when it comes to the three filler-pots of "gold". I see this and only this --> (no matter how often I roll)

Aqua Kitty: Milk Mine Defender
Avernum: The Complete Saga
Duke Nukem 3D Atomic Edition
Geneforge 1-5
Giana Sisters: Rise of the Owlverlord
I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream
Ittle Dew
Painkiller Black Edition
Penumbra Collection, The
Puddle
System Shock 2
Tales from Space Mutant Blobs Attack
I got:
Zombie Shooter
Aqua Kitty
Avernum
I have no mouth and I must scream, and Alien Shoioter 2.

I'm tempted to do another one, but realistically I don't think I'll get anything I want.

I kind of figured hey, it's $10 and sort of like a lottery where I'm at least guaranteed to get SOMETHING LOL

Maybe after the first person gets a big title, the chance for someone else to get them decreases.

e: getting leftovers at this point, I give up.

I can only report on what I observe, and draw conclusions from that. Many people had great draws at the start of the promotion, but those seem to be tapering off. It may have to do with what you already own, as I had many of the games on offer already (and even more of them now). I just tried a series of about 30 carts, and nothing I did would dislodge the two remaining Shooter games as Pots, nor add the missing-from-my-collection Memoria.
They must really want people to play those Shooter games. :/
It is probably unlikely, but perhaps they are using some kind of system to adjust the weighting so they don't lose their ass by people rerolling until they have all expensive games. Something to the effect of they need to sell x quantity of the cheap ones before "refilling" the pool of the bigger ones. Either that or RNG is just a cruel god.
The only Pots games I don't own now are Deponia 3 and Memoria, and so far I cannot induce either to show up. I do get some quite good titles on repeat, like Outlast and I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream. But those first two seem fairly elusive.

Huh, that's odd. I was lucky enough to get both of those (without the added benefit of knowing how to know your random selection beforehand). Then again, I DID get that one rather nasty surprise of all four "Shooter"-games in one big, shitty $10 package. I guess the server leprechauns do take karma into consideration.

You can try asking someone who keeps rolling those two to make it a gift pack at checkout (possibly topped off with games you already have), then give the code to you to be partially redeemed. If they want Deponia and Memoria for themselves, they can hold the cart or the code and roll another pack and together you could figure out the optimal arrangement of extra games in both packs depending on what is wanted and owned.

Kakihara: Oh, I thought paypal you money or something. Because I keep getting the same 5 crap games.
Ah, don't worry about. Have it as a gift. Check your PMs and enjoy!

It would appear the system is more subtle and cunning, not to mention capricious, than it seems at first blush.

S'okay, I'm not overly worried about those anyway. I was mostly trying to get Memoria "just because", rather than as something I am keen to play. And the Deponia series doesn't really interest me. It was more the gamer in me, trying to triumph over the automaton.
