oh god I hate google wave.

Aliasalpha: Well we are but I've not seen results of all the matches yet, have all the replays been posted to the replays wave?

Fenixp: Yes, they have. I will add a new rule to push you people into keeping the deadline a bit - I really thought that won't be a problem since this is supposed to be ... you know ... fun?
Anyway, when I get this match done and I plan to do so today, I'll finish writing summary and Spess Mahrines briefings. I hope Alias will write ... the other guys today as well (stop playing STO for a while!)

Well if you'll tell me exactly what I need to write...
Well, it seems I'll have to postpone it until tomorrow after all. Biohazard said he'll have time, and carlosjuero didn't seem to have problem with it, so hopefully, they'll battle it out, otherwise I'm flipping a coin...
Well, if anyone wants a game tonight, let me know, while we're all waiting and all.
While we wait, Lord Firaeveus Carron would like to make a public service announcement about the use of armored troop carriers:

well, I'm tired of constant delaying, so I have tossed a coin. Necrons have won, yay! I would like to post a replay, but ... my webcam's out. Yeah.
Anyway, 2 new rules, will be added to the description of next round as well:
- If you cannot make it in time, let me know, I will find a back-up or be a back-up myself
- If you don't let me know, you're out of the game right away.
That could work...
You should look forward to new briefings tomorrow, I will lure Alias from playing Star Trek: Online for a while and actually tell him what do I need for new briefings, and I will write summary today and post it here tomorrow, unless someone wants to proofread it, rewrite whatever sounds weird and fix mistakes

I'd be happy to proof-read or whatever, if you'd like.
I'm around all weekend, so I'll keep checking here and wave.

Well I'll have it finished in 30 minutes, can you be on wave by then please?

Sure thing, ready when you are.
Well, here's the summary, and that's also the end of Round 1. With new rules, round 2 should flow a tad more swiftly, and we can get to the one-round-per-week ratio. Oh, I have almost forgot: My thanks goes to Andy_Panthro for making this readable
The events after an unknown force decimating Imperial forces on and around Mars gathered pace. The forces of the Imperium were surprised and defeated on all fronts, losing important territory to their enemies. Their armies are still strong in sheer numbers however, and mobilising fast. Guardsmen whisper tales of heroic deeds of their comrades on the battlefield, and are still enthusiastic to join the fight. What they do not know is the real fate of their brethren, and that the dark forces of the Necron armada have proceeded towards their unknown objective.
The Space Marines tried to cut off invading Ork force at it's roots, and failed as well. They were weak in numbers and green tide literally swallowed everything of the little army they have managed to assemble in such a short time. Greenskins have gained a foothold on Mars, and their attack will surely not stop at one territory.
The Eldar have silently approached Diemos, one of Mars' moons. Discovering an ancient human observatory, they have decided to use it to their advantage. However, the Eldar were not the first to arrive on Diemos. Chaos forces were hoarding on the moon, preparing themselves for the assault on one of the most important colonies the Empire has. Eldar forces came out of nowhere, overpowering chaos quickly. The Chaos lords have managed to escape however, and it's just a matter of time until they emerge elsewhere.
Necron are still almost an unknown presence on the surface of the Mars, and remain a mystery even to those who know about them. The Necron would never risk losing their forces over a meaningless dispute of other races, since it would jeopardise their ultimate goal.
And so, the battle continues, adding more blood to the endless war that is 41st millenium. This time, however, the results may change everything...

"Change everything" don't cut it. If the Imperium loses completely here, the whole setting could break down.
Then again, maybe that'd be for the best. Watching the Imperium slowly fight a losing battle to the death against the whole universe is getting kind of depressing. A war between an array of factions that are all equally destructive and unwholesome would actually be an improvement.
