FantasyNightmare: What, you mean like the people that wilfully ignored the fact that the game has little KB+M support (a point that has been relentlessly advertised), then proceeded to bitch about it? :P
The SoD EA forums are a gold mine of hilarity and depression (some guy said a game released on Steam, much less PC, without proper KB+M support isn't a true PC game & its sale on Steam is illegal)
Haha yes the KB+M posts were bad enough, then the endless threads whining about features like perma-death they should have known about if they spent 5 minutes reading about the game they were going to buy. Then the performance threads from these people with very expensive hardware that don't understand why they can't max every setting out in game and their video card control panel and get perfect performance out of an early access game.

catpower1980: LOL, this guy would hang himself if he discovers that "Brothers - A Tale O Two Sons" is also sold on Steam without KB/M support (Due to the original twin-sticks control, this is perfectly normal).

Also, most of the whiners haven't really played the game because you don't use guns that much (due to noise and ammo problems) so no precision and quickness required and most importlantly, you have to drive A LOT and regarding this matter, a x360 pad with the triggers is really a big plus because there are subtleties in the acceleration of a vehicle that you can't get with a "binary" button ( where the acceleration is "on/off"). It's really important in racing games and gta-likes but here it goes into another dimension because the slower you drive, the less noise you make (showed by a circle on your mini-map), so driving constantly at 5km/h makes you more stealthy when driving in the streets.

And to add my two cents on the game for those on the fence: yes, there are some minor issues in this game (lack of explanations on certain matters so check the net to fully grasp the dynamics of ressources, etc) but it's really recommended for those who would like to experience a sandbox group survival game.
I'm really tempted, as ArmaII: DayZ is kinda fun, except when other players interfere in my experience. Haven't found anyone I know to play that one with so when I do play on a server, I usually get killed by some hunter before I can even get anywhere. Best time I had with DayZ personally was on an empty server. Got to explore, loot, kill some zombies and eventually get killed myself; but, was much more fun than running a couple minutes and getting gunned down by someone just on the off chance that I might have some good loot. Only consolation there is this repeatedly happened when all I had was starter items which are pretty much junk.

Since SoD is co-op though I would think it is much easier to find people to play with rather than against, I like the survival and exploration aspects it's the PvP that bugs me in other games. If I really want Zombies and PvP can always play Ace of Spades ;-)

State of Decay is single player. You can get a friendly AI person to accompany you on some tasks, but there is no multiplayer and it doesn't look likely that there ever will be as the multiplayer will be in their next game.

Shame I thought I had read it was going to be 1-4 player co-op, but, since I had fun with other single player survival zombie games, or playing them as single player anyway probably means it'll still be a lot of fun for me at least.
Anyone know what the 79meg update recently was?

even with alpha into consideration, the game is clunky as hell, it was obviously not meant for pc and also why is the game alpha since xbox already had release months ago. getting sick of half assed games being released

Maybe so, I used to use my 360 a lot but not anymore, I just focus on PC when i game so even if its not polished (when fully complete) im not as fussed because I know that it was never initially designed for the platform

It's alright, it's fun, nothing innovative though.

I assume you're playing it with mouse and keyboard? That's simply not done yet. That's *why* it's Early Access. To work on the PC Conversion, and at the same time allow people who do have a controller to be able to play it already.

If you play with Controller you pretty much have the game as it was on Xbox.

But it's nice that they're bringing those "console exclusives" to PC :D

Now bring me Harvest Moon and I'll be super happy. Please?

Omg Monster Hunter, please ... xD (There's a Monster Hunter online for PC and it's Japan/China only ;_;)

Id buy the newer Pokemon games if they properly ported them to the PC.
I was going to start a new thread so I'm glad I did a search for it first.

The first time I noticed that game I passed because I thought it was multiplayer only. It came back to my notice yesterday because I heard of a mod that turn the fast zombies into slow zombies.

The gameplay video I have seen do not looks like fun as I'm not a big fan of melee fighting and it seems like a must in this game. On the other hand it is modable so I figure I might be able to mod it to my satisfaction (slow zombies who aren't as sensitive to sound and lots of ammo). Modding the game is also why I'd prefer the PC version over the XBox one.

I do have some questions:
1- How big is the universe?
2- What kind of house groups does it have? Cities? Suburb? Villages? ...
3- Are all buildings explorable?

I hope someone here can help me.
