[url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Staycation" target="blank]‘Staycations’ are all the rage as the economy continues slowly staggering back towards recovery. But even if you're not looking to save cash on your summer vacation, there are still reasons why you should keep indoors, on your PC, and enjoy some classics. Vacations can be expensive (and dangerous!) so why put yourself through all the hassle when you can have a similar experience for much less with GOG.com?

All of Interplay’s games are 50% off from now until the 4th of July, and we’ll be writing up more “Staycation Packages” for your reading pleasure as the days trip by.

Messiah(possessing NPCs/enemies to use them to navigate the world and do things is fun as hell), and Lionheart(Great little science vs. church vs magik rpg.)

Fantasysci5: Arg! So many games I want to try, even though I have hardly any money! I've been eyeing Sacrifice, Fallout, Battle Chess, Messiah, and Lionheart, and I have to save money for the upcoming summer sales, like on Steam, so if I want to buy some, I can only buy one or two. Any recommendations between these?
Fallout is a must play if you like RPGs

hooston: sorry guys, if you got windows 7 then this aint much of a promotion - wonder why we al go to steam ??

HampsterStyle: Not sure that I follow what you mean by that. I have Win7 x64 with most of the Interplay collection and haven't run into any problems running those titles.
I hope you're right about these Interplay titles possibly not giving us any problems on Win7 64-bit!

Love your avatar, by the way. The Ian Gillan era of Black Sabbath (for all of 1 album) is my favorite!
Here's my question, why aren't Baldur's Gate and the like part of this sale? I'm looking at my Baldur's Gate DVD case and right on the side it has the red letters and logo of Interplay, so shouldn't these games be included?

No, the D&D games are owned by Atari now.

Yes, the license is owned by Atari, the games however were published by Interplay. Atari got the D&D License when Interplay was sinking. There's never been a box release of BG, BG2, IWD, IWD2, or PT with Atari's name on it. The first game published after Atari took over the D&D License was Neverwinter Nights.

Doesn't matter who published it. It matters who owns the rights now, as far as what Gog sells during sales, as they need to get rightsholders permission to do sales on their games, and as Interplay no longer has the rights to those games they can't ok them to be put on sale.
Thank you, GoG! Snagged many titles on my wishlist. :) I hope, if you have another deal after this one, that's it's just as awesome. :)
Nice sale. Time to pickup the handful of Interplay titles I am still missing from my collection..
Most anticipated sale for me gog. Waiting for other publishers.

TheJoe: Not sure if serious or kidding

HaroldO: Serious. Most places in urban regions barely have dial-up connection, It's hot and wet as hell the whole year and if really want to go the the forest it's just trees, birds, and rivers, big deal. :P
Well really it's just the one river, I guess.

Also, I would trade my life for that one any day. Just so long as I can get daily shipments of mosquito nets.

Have you ever considered doing a Reddit AMA on this? Amazonian life to modern life seems kindof interesting...

reaver894: It would appear I hurt Cooks feelings with the above comment, as an apology I have uploaded a flower that can be found here as a peace offering. (and so he doesn't lock me out of my account :-P (thats a joke Cook dont do it....))
You know, maybe I look like a thug on that avatar, but deep inside I'm very emotional guy ;p
Thanks for the flowers, feels a bit awkward but whatever. I'll leave your GOG account for now :p
Amazing. I just bought a bunch of games!
I think to balance my budget I'll get 6 now MDK1&2, fall out series and Lionheart and maybe after my next pay might pick up the Freespace series and maybe Messiah if they are any good. Haven't decided yet on those.
Holy cow! Guys, now you did it :D
