Is your body ready to waste away in front of your computer?

Wasteland 2 Digital Deluxe Edition, inXile's epic post-apocalyptic RPG is here! The masterfully crafted continuation to the 1988s original post-apocalyptic RPG, is available for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux on GOG.com, for $59.99*.

Wasteland 2 Digital Deluxe Edition, is the direct sequel to 1988’s Wasteland, the first-ever post-apocalyptic computer RPG and the inspiration behind the Fallout series. Until Wasteland, no other cRPG had ever allowed players to control and command individual party members for tactical purposes or given them the chance to make moral choices that would directly affect the world around them. Wasteland was a pioneer in multi-path problem solving, dripping in choice and consequence and eschewing the typical one-key-per-lock puzzle solving methods of its peers, in favor of putting the power into players’ hands to advance based on their own particular play style. Now, the legend is back, resurrected by the power of thousands of gamers' combined will to visit the grim and dangerous, yet strangely mesmerizing future once again. Today, we celebrate nonlinearity, mature storytelling, and other best traditions of computer RPG design. Brian Fargo and his inXile team opens the doors to the post-apocalyptic future: let's challenge its many dangers, together!

On GOG.com Wasteland 2 Digital Deluxe Edition comes complete with a free copy of Wasteland - The Original Classic and inXile's cult fantasy RPG, The Bard's Tale. *$59.99 is the regular price for this title in the US. Other prices will apply in different countries. If you end up paying more than than the US price, we will reimburse the difference from our own pocket, giving it back to you in store credit (this is what we call the "Fair Price Package"). If you only want to dip your feet before taking the plunge, there's a Wasteland 2 Digital Classic Edition available (US price: $39.99), and it can be upgraded to Deluxe Edition later.

sadthiago: Now let's get back to the Standard to deluxe edition thingy, cause some of us not getting none of soundtracks until this minute, no mp3, no flac, nothing...
If I understand correctly, you should simply contact GOG support and they can fix it for you. No automated solution is possible, though.

IAmSinistar:
too lazy to read through the thread, why did they remove the flacs?
avatar
HypersomniacLive: Let's not forget Gonchi who contacted M. Morgan and got the involved parties to actually look into amending the situation. :-)
avatar
IAmSinistar: Quite so! Gonchi has done sterling work in getting this sorted, and deserves much praise as well.
Thanks Gonchi for ending up on Mark Morgn's blacklist for our sakes :-)

[A big side-note] I don't even own the game (yet !) but I followed the whole thing quite closely. There is one thing I don't understand, and I am not pointing fingers, just underlining something I consider weird (not bad or abnormal just weird).

The relation between goglodytes and gog is a customer/seller one. It's a one-way street : gog wants to sell things to us, we buying it or not is our prerogative. If customers don't like gog for whatever reason, it can be a deal breaker. If gog doesn't like us, it doesn't matter it's a business. A one-way street.
Now gog and publishers isn't a 'customer/seller' relationship, it's a 'producer/retailer' partnership. Both have to be willing to sell a product, but in the light of those events (inXile pulling things without giving gog a "good explanation" for the customers is not a good practice. As partners (even if they are in a position of advantage with a solid title) they let you (gog) down more than a bit. And you (gog) might want to keep in mind you have less customers than your partners have, so it's normal for them to not care as much about us as you do.
Again, I am not lighting any garden-ware, I don't own the game, and I don't even care about soundtracks to begin with. But keep your priorities covered, don't get caught by surprise. Sorry if I sounded sanctimonious, it wasn't the intent. Point is : The more important thing was that Judas was here, however uncomfortable this must have been, so Thanks a lot for that.

does it involve greediness? and if yes who was greedy this time, inxile maybe?

You'd need to read the thread to follow all the players and the ins-and-outs, it's quite a complex tale. But if I've understood it, the villain this time seems to be Deep Silver. Apparently they pushed to have the FLACs removed from the digital deluxe version in order to make their physical product more appealing.

ok, basically deep silver was greedy this time, thanks

we have here a scammers thread, maybe it would be a good idea to make a "greedy pubs/devs thread", where one can put then deep silver for a year on this list, of course gearbox should stay the next 5 years.

I suggest the opposite; a list of companies who aren't greedy. It will be a pretty short list.

I contacted then twice and nothing was made until this moment. They just said that they made an agreement with you guys at inxile , and said that I need to wait for another reply from then, but didnt specified what will be done. And that contact was made a week ago.

Well as a backer you can always contact us to get the files to you directly, but we can't edit GOG.com libraries obviously. From what we understood they would be willing and able to fix it. Perhaps they're just figuring out some technical details, but I really can't speak for them on this, I don't know.

Sure, thanks for the heads up. My issue is with gog then, as i wish to make my collection stick with them in its library. The solution is to wait their reply then.

Well, Deep Silver pulled Ride to Hell from sale :) That's neither greedy nor smart :)

I'm almost sad to see it gone. You know a game is bad when it's released on PC featuring sex scenes and no one makes a nude mod.

I was lucky enough to buy it before it was gone. I had to skip the sex scenes (two so far). I felt embaressed to watch them.
