Silly, smart, funny, sharp, crazy--gaming’s first sitcom.

We have launched a new developer today--Telltale Games, the finest purveyor of episodic adventure games--and we’re starting off with three fantastic adventures: Sam & Max Save the World, Sam & Max Beyond Time and Space, and Tales of Monkey Island. All three games are on a huge "Welcome to GOG" sale for Telltale, and will be 60% off until 3 July.

Sam & Max Save the World and Sam & Max Beyond Time and Space, two games that will even make your processor giggle, are available now on GOG.com with a whopping 60% discount. That’s just $11.99 each!

Sam & Max Save the World was the first Telltale Game to feature vigilante private investigators Sam & Max--an anthropomorphic dog in a suit and a "hyperkinetic three-foot rabbity thing" that together form the Freelance Police. Based on Steve Purcell’s comic series, the game follows the wacky duo through 6 episodes/cases involving conspiracy, cyborgs, hypnotism, and Moon-travel. It was the first Telltale Game to be released in monthly episodes, a revival of a classic adventure gaming franchise, and additionally a proof that there’s a demand for classically designed point-and-click adventures. Sam & Max Save the World is available on GOG.com 60% off--that’s only $11.99 for the next 7 days!

Sam & Max Beyond Time and Space is the second season of the series and features another five episodes filled with humor, terror, and craziness, while the wacky duo faces a pagan god, volcanic eruption, vampires, zombies, and Satan himself. The game has more dynamic NPCs, an updated engine, and more mini-games in each of the episodes. Sam & Max Beyond Time and Space is available with for $11.99 until Tuesday, July 3 at 6:59 AM EDT.

Get both Sam & Max games on GOG.com for only $23.99 for the next 7 days!

EDIT: There was a miscommunication here; the games aren't localized beyond English at the moment. Apologies.

shadi.lahham: I found season 3 to be more annoying that the previous seasons with extra mechanisms added (like the power toys and back in time tapes) that seemed to dilute the adventure game experience using these gimmicks.
Your mileage may vary, obviously. I saw season one (partially) and season two (mostly) as a very tired, predictable and incredibly formulaic mess, with a mind-numbing rigidity of structure and constant repetition. And season three is anything but that; I much prefer the clever attempt at non-linear storytelling of The Tomb of Sammun-Mak to the "Prologue – First Three Trials – Plot Development – Second Three Trials – Finale" pattern they've beaten to death and beyond in the previous two seasons.

doady: So $25 for Xenonauts is too expensive for GOG, yet $30 for digital versions of 5 year old games is okay.
It is too bad that we won't see Xenonauts on GOG, I backed the project and wish they could have worked it out because I'm sure the GOG community would have jumped on board.

KainDrake: They don't do the Lego games. You're thinking of Traveller's Tales. :p

jimbob0i0: Ack you're right of course.... excitement dashed (somewhat)....

Damn these companies picking common initials....

Ah well - payday! sam&max! MonkeyIsland! ...

That's better - excited again ;)
I've made the same mistake before too. :p

Hehe quite a successful sale buying overall yesterday between these three games and LA Noire on Steam... heh
I wish Telltale would give "backup" copies to their customers who have bought their games from their 's own store.
Unfortunately I already own all the tell tale series of these games, they are good fun and the humor is generously sprinkled throughout! I recommend this game to anyone who enjoys solid adventure games or outlandish humor.

That said, I really was hoping to see the original Sam and Max's on GOG before I saw these, considering you can already buy these games DD directly from tell tale.
Never played any Telltale adventure games. Loved Sierra adventure games. I can afford 1 game in the sale. Which of the 3 titles would you recommend?

In my case its hard to say since i havent played Sam & Max
But i enjoyed Tales of monkey Island though.

There was good jokes, good puzles and typical guybrush anekdotes as i like to call them.
But it leaves something to be desired when it comes to replayability.
If you want to buy a game that you can play more than once i personally woud go for other games.

But if you are a huge fan of the adventure genre and also a sort of monkey island maniac id say go for it.
In most cases people tend to enjoy the games featuring guybrush.

I think there has only been one exeption, there was a monkey island game that wasnt that well recived but i cant remember wich one that was.

Telltale is one of the modern companies that knows what the classics really were about, and they're keeping the spirit alive. This company has many of the original Lucasarts creators, and they are keeping Sam And Max and Monkey Island alive. I'm glad they are selling seasons I and II, because I like them better than season III.
Still, we can only hope we will soon be dealing with General Skunkape and following Sam And Max on their next adventures. I also hope Telltale sells really well and decides to do Sam And Max season IV soon.

For those talking about Season 3. I found it was pretty good, but I thought it ended on a somewhat mixed not. I won't go into it here, obviously. I liked it, but my computer couldn't even run it and I had to install it on my cousin's computer, despite having run Monkey Island just fine.

The bonus material for Season 3 wasn't nearly as good as Season 1 and 2, though.

Insofar as I know, they do allow you to download copies of the episodes you've purchased through their store. I bought the Sam & Max collection and had downloaded the episodes right off the site while I was waiting for the physical copies to show up.

Unless that's not what you meant.
