The original god-game, reprised.

Reprisal Universe, a low-res high-beauty real-time god-game making a loving tribute to the roots of the genre, is available for Windows and Mac OS X, 30% off on GOG.com. That's only $6.99 for the first week.

Reprisal Universe takes the form of a RTS following the plight of Thallos, a forgotten demi-god, as he travels to distant shores reprising his people and gathering the ten lost Amulets of his tribes. Help Thallos by controlling nature itself, raising and lowering land, unleashing lighting storms, tidal waves, volcanoes and more. Visually set in it’s defining tilt-shift style, you begin on Thallos home planet of Euporie, you will be able to explore over 32 planets of uncharted lands, extending your influence and working together with other explorers by revealing your discoveries and progress in Reprisal Universe. Although initially procedurally generated, the Universe changes and evolves with collective player left legacies - you too will be able to leave behind your mark for other players to encounter.

If you have fond memories of god-games as they were 20 years ago, but would like to play something that feels a bit more modern, don't miss Reprisal Universe, for only $6.99 on GOG.com. The 30% off special launch discount will last until Monday, September 22, at 9:59AM GMT. Don't miss out!

Pajama: Not sure what you mean by unplayable. If you got it here then maybe try contacting support, hopefully they can help you get it working. For me, the GOG version works perfectly.

Like you say ideas can't be copyrighted which is the problem here - why use fresh ideas when you can just plagiarise! ;)
There's blinky incomprehensible shit on the screen. The gameplay seems to consist of clicking super fast to raise and lower land to flatten it in blue territory, clicking super fast to screw up the leveling in red territory, and clicking elsewhere so my blue guys can get run randomly across the map and eventually get slaughtered.

So it's awesome that ideas are not copyrightable, because an independent developer can take a decent idea and make a better technical implementation. It'd be even awesomer if there was no copyright at all, so independent creators anywhere could take just about any franchise and [try to] make a better sequel/prequel/sidequel.
How's this game?
What options do you have to influence your world? I mean how much can you actually directly change? And how's the replayability?
Sweet, GOG got the original game in PC and Mac format and added them as bonuses! Thanks a bunch, you people are still the best in the business. :)
This looks pretty promising. Wishlisted for now, as I just broke the bank on Wasteland 2 (plus, with Harebrained/GOG giving previous owners the new Shadowrun - Dragonfall Director's Cut as well, I'll be fairly occupied a while.)
Glad to see the original was added as a bonus as well!
