Spoiler: Sun wins, but you don't care.

Race the Sun, a thrilling, yet strangely relaxing, high speed chase through beautiful otherworldly abstract landscapes, is available 50% off on GOG.com. That's only $4.99 for the first week.

In Race the Sun, an abstract arcade racing title, you'll be doing exactly what the title suggests: flying towards the elusive horizon at extreme speeds. Maneuver your-lightning fast glider among obstacles as you pass them at impossible speeds, and take in all the beautiful sights and sounds this title has to offer. It's a meditative experience, that keeps you hooked by offering unlockable upgrades for your progress, and tracks your times against your friends' scores. The game comes with a built-in world editor, so you'll be able to create some amazing scenery yourself, and share them online. With sleek visuals and mesmerizing soundtrack, this title will have you both relaxed and excited, not to mention hooked to the screen from the first time you play it.

They say that the chase is much more important and gratifying than the goal itself. See that for yourself in Race the Sun, for only $4.99 on GOG.com. The 50% off launch discount offer lasts until Tuesday, November 12, at 10:59AM GMT.
Let's pop this release thread to the forums as well. 3 games released today, 4 so far this week.
Reminds me of the Star Fox game on the SNES.
I remember seeing this on NotonSteam and I wasn't interested then, not particularly interested now.
But I am curious to see what people think of it.
The speed sensations looks pretty good.
Now this looks really interesting. Feels like something that would have been made in 95 or so.
Looks like a very cool game but...what on earth is this "Soundtrack sample" nonsense?

Where is the full soundtrack?

In the game, I'd hope. Is this a trick question?

Hey dickface, that was a genuine question

If you want to try and act funny, I suggest you leave this place

If you can't take a joke then why dont you leave?
Come on, lighten up a bit. No need for insults.

GOG seems to be only able to offer a few tracks off OST's for most new indie games :(. Seems like for whatever reason they cant or unwilling to sell games + OST (even at a slightly higher price)

I did pick it up in that sale, and frankly it was barely worth the price then in my book. Same applies here, either get it on sale or not at all. Not that it's an awful game, it's just not very compelling. It looks great and sounds good, but there is very little to motivate you to play it further once you've spent a while with it.

Interesting that they went with such colourful cover art since just about everything is greyscale in the game apart from the sky and the crystals. Again, I like the aesthetic of the graphics, but curious that they would downplay that in the released artwork.
I don't know if I really want it but of all the releases today it's the only one I can afford and the only one my OS can handle. :P Thanks to GOG for throwing a bone out to the poor people like me with shit computers. :D
It's an excellent little 'just one more go' game. Bought it a while back out of sympathy for the dev after their interview on game sales.

Didn't need to buy it out of sympathy, it turned out. The game stands up on its own...
I do love indies, but I also appreciate GOG to separate the wheat from the chaff. This game looks more like Desura to me.
