With the powers of nature in your hand and the Blue tribe following, will you become the omnipotent entity?

With great power comes great responsibility and with small price comes great value--combine these two and you’ll get a GOG.com exclusive Populous™: The Beginning, a 3D Strategy game with almighty strength, released for only $5.99 right here on GOG.com.

The third part in the series, the first one in full 3D, Populous: The Beginning places you in control of a female shaman and her tribe. You need to battle your way through 25 planets and defeat the rival Dakini, Chumara, and Matak tribes for dominion over the solar system. Grow in followers, grow in strength and unleash the earth-shattering powers to wreak havoc and control your tribesman. Build your forces, annihilate the non-believers, and finally become the ultimate almighty ruler of the Populous universe.

Execution of Populous: The Beginning is quite impressive: each scenario sports a different richly-detailed small world, and the engine accurately represents the fact that you are on a globe, with curved surfaces and an effective horizon. The creators of Populous and Dungeon Keeper packed some clever ideas, fun-to-play gameplay, 3D graphics, and sweet multiplayer into a perfect cure for gamers with a god complex. If you like real-time strategy games, this is one of the most innovative and well-designed you’ll be ever likely to play, especially when it’s only $5.99, available now on GOG.com
Oh my good gravy.
A really worthy addition to your catalogue. Thanks.
Wishlisted for the moment.
Great add I must say... But does this one contain the expansion: Promised Lands?
So this is where Tuesday's release went? also, a very nice release. I remember playing Populous back in the day. Fun game.
Great addition, played it just after release but unfortunately i never finished it.
Wishlisted of course.
[Looking at my wishlist...]

You mean Undiscovered Worlds.

I'm interested to know as well, even though I am not sure if I'm interested in this game (as the original Populous on Amiga bored me to tears).

Too bad if there is still a problem with EA expansion packs.

Great game. But there is no word about the expansion. Is it included or not?

Populous 3 is quite different from the previous entries in the series. This is more along the line of a standard base building RTS, but not quite. A good game, but not nearly as groundbreaking or original as the previous entries.

No, the expansion (undiscovered worlds) is not included.

This one is quite different. :p

Promised lands was the expansion of the first one.
Hell yeah!

Unfortunatelly, I'm out of funds now, but wishlisted for today.

One of my favourite games from teenage times.

Sadly, no "Undiscovered Worlds" expansion.

edit: Thanks to Ghorpm , it's no longer wishlisted! Thanks dude for your kindness :)

Good to know. Since I generally like RTS games, maybe I'd like this one more. I usually check for MobyGames user reviews, but the only review there didn't really help me make up my mind. :D

About as useful as GOG game user reviews.
