There’s Pandemonium in the crowds!

When a young sorceress, a court jester, and a demented stick-puppet get hold of the ancient wizard spellbook titled "Ancient Wizards Spellbook", use of which "May result in danger and death", you can expect [url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/pandemonium]Pandemonium on GOG.com for only $5.99.

Pandemonium is a 2,5D platform game: the player can move in two dimensions but in a full 3D environment, which is displayed from all types of perspectives and angles to give the game a dynamic look. Before each level, player can select a character: the sorceress Nikki who can double-jump, or Fargus the joker, who can deliver a special spinning attack by throwing his talking stick-puppet called Sid. Later, you'll also gain access to fireballs or shrink- and freeze-rays. Apart from that, you can expect everything you remember from ‘90s platformers: many difficult levels, incredibly impressive boss-fights, collecting coins and hidden prizes, and a ceaseless wave of enemies.

Pandemonium came out in the heyday of platformers, in the times of Crash Bandicoot, Earthworm Jim, Jazz Jackrabit, and Gex--which was developed by the creators of Pandemonium. It was a time when gaming was simple but challenging and brilliantly entertaining. And that’s what Pandemonium is: plain good platforming fun that, thanks to 3D graphics and camera movement, is also a fast-paced vertigo-inducing romp.

Pandemonium is top-notch old-school platforming for only $5.99 only on GOG.com.
Nice game.

Crosmando: Ahhh, here come all the Glide games, do you think we'll be lucky to be blessed with Turok some day soon? Or maybe Redguard?
You can actually find the original Turok on the internet for free.

POLE7645: In that case, I wonder if some games already on GOG will be updated with nGlide installations (MDK, Interstate 76, Messiah, Lands of Lore 2 and Simon the Sorcerer 3D are prime candidates. Those are the ones with the most problems if I recall).
At least I'76, I hope. :-P Those poor customers and support people...

Oh, and I'm actually enjoying the soundtrack now! Shame GOG didn't include it. http://www.peejeshare.com/files/362091431/Pandemonium_Soundtrack_%28PS1%29.rar.html

EDIT: Well, there is this: http://www.gog.com/en/forum/pandemonium/bonus_content/post6
But GOG would benefit more if they "laid it out" there separately, proclaiming it as bonus content. "Soundtrack included? Oh yeah!!!"

Probably the first game I played on my 3Dfx Voodoo2. This has better gameplay than Pandemonium 2, but the graphics are weaker. This was wishlisted the moment I noticed it. I hope P2 will come online as well, for completeness.

Yorec: I would totally buy this, if I didn't still own a copy for my playstation. Still its awesome to see this game released here!
Heh--same here, and my PS1 copy is sitting literally 4 feet away from me at the moment.
I want to know, are they going to be putting up Pandemonium 2 here (or for that matter, did that even get a PC release)? I always wanted to get that for PS1...

That's right, I've bought and played both parts of Pandemonium on PC.
ha, I remember Pandemonium, think it was available for both PC and PSX. Reminds me of Little Big Adventure for some reason - very cutesy graphics, trying to be totally 3D but not quite there yet. Didn't look bad for its time at all.
