I think I recall a post (on either twitter or facebook) where they claimed they couldn't get it running on any resolution other than 320x200, but for the life of me I can't find it :/
So while I do hope for Theme Park, I wouldn't hold my breath :(
This is the last game that I pulled an overnight session with. The day I got the box suddenly turned into the next morning. Lets see if the same thing happens again...

That would have been the worst timing for EA. ;-) People already bought the shelves empty with SC2000 and SC4 on Steam, now think how many would have bought SC3000. (High sales are good, but they are quite lost customers for SC5).

I don't get it, is that a problem? aren't other GOGs running at that or similar resolution? Secret Agent doesn't look precisely like an HD game.

To be honest I think it would of been a better idea for GOG to bundle all the Apogee platformers into one pack, at this rate no one is going to buy ANY simplistic DOS-era platformer for 6$ in 2013, but they might buy them all in one big pack. GOG needs more "value for your money" packs like the Battle Isle collection.

Good idea. I would definitely pick a pack for 6 or 10 dollars, but wouldn't buy them one by one...

Huh? Hopefully you can dig post that up.

I can understand the nature of the problem - Theme Park's resolution can be changed in-game - and I assume that the game crashes or something for GOG whenever you change resolution, but I've not seen any problems with changing resolution in Theme Park under DOSBox.

If anything, the problem is with speed control. DOSBox's auto CPU cycle control makes a bit of a hatchet job of it, and switching the game from low to high resolution will slow the game down considerably, while having the CPU set at a speed high enough for 640x480 means that the game is uncontrollably fast under 320x240.

Running the game at 640x480 is a bit of a strain on the eyes, to be honest.
I have a question: if I remember correctly, this game is using the same engine as Hi-Octane ... Can it be played in SVGA (640x480 mode)?

A bit too 'pixelly' for me (sorry guys, but graphics DO matter to me. I just can't play games with such low-grade graphics. Grates on every nerve I have :).

But....still a good release for those of you who like this type of game.
Just FYI, the game actually looks better than in those screenshots GOG provided, or at least should. The screenshots seem to be the game running in lores (320x240 resolution I think) graphics, but they can be switched to 640x480 quite easily.

I don't know why GOG is showing only the lores graphics in the screenshots. The hires graphics used to be quite HW demanding back then (which is why most people played it in lores), but with current PCs that is obviously not an issue, even when playing through DOSBox.

I played both Magic Carpet Plus and Magic Carpet 2 retail versions through maybe a year ago, the gameplay is still golden even if the graphics are dated.

At least the original Magic Carpet 2 retail (as well as Magic Carpet 1 retail) could, and they worked fine for me in DOSBox (except that MC2 can sometimes crash when things got very busy in some levels with high amounts of tiny mana balls anywhere, but I think this could happen also in lores mode... I recall that was a bug in the original game even when playing with on a real MS-DOS PC. So you just have to try to make sure the level doesn't go overboard with amount of objects in the game, only a problem on some of the busiest levels).

I don't recall if it was in MC2 in the options, or just some key during the gameplay, like alt-H to switch between hires and lores graphics. EDIT: Maybe the key was R, like in the original MC.
