You need bigger guns when you’re looking for Groove.

Interstate '82, a unique addition to the vehicular combat games genre, set in one of the most colorful time periods, is available on GOG.com for only $5.99.

Remember the time when the USA was overrun by packs of terrorists in heavy armed cars, the government was plotting against its own citizens, and Devo was the hottest thing ever? Like, you know, the early 1980s? Well then, you have to see it for yourself! Become the vigilante driver, Taurus, and battle through hell on wheels in search of your missing friend, Groove Champion, the hero of Interstate ‘76.

Interstate '82 drops some of the car management mechanics in favor of more combat-oriented action in varied environments. Because the ‘80s, as we all know, were all about the raw firepower and funky good looks, the game enables you to alter the look of your ride up to the point of giving it a custom texture to go with the extreme arsenal of on-board guns. It also lets you switch rides in the middle of the mission, adding a new layer of strategic planning to the gameplay.

Interstate '82 is an action-packed love letter to automobile maniacs, featuring the craziest plot and a vibrant world in the spirit of the ‘80s. Hit the road hard for only $5.99.

sebarnolds: I get an error 404 when I click the link to the gamecard page...
Everything should be fixed now and the 404 bears are back in their cages :D. Have you tried the F5 trick yet? :D

sebarnolds: You, try again because one of them has not been fixed :-)
I just checked all 3 links and no 404 bears for me :P

[Edit] First link is broken but the others are fine [/Edit]
Give it a few minutes, it may be your server cache is old. Or try hitting ctrl+f5

sebarnolds: Sorry, it surely is that I had only refreshed the page 9 times. I am now sure that I had to refresh ten times to have the corrected version :P

Anyway, nice release although some more extras would have been great.
Hopefully, everything works now and sorry if I came off a little brusque. I forgot about the old clear cache and F5 trick. :D

MickTheMage: Only one thing is missing - the Devo tracks from soundtrack! ;) http://youtu.be/3u4ja0osgGw

vicklemos: No Devo? No buy!
Oh, there's all Devo you could possibly handle in the game, I assure you. We might not have released a separate soundtrack for this title but we wouldn't dream of robbing you of Devo's glorious songs to accompany you on the road.

Well hi there, dear GOG.com users! Yup. Good catch, JMitch. I am in fact the new addition to the team. And yes, it does mean that we're getting stronger, bigger, and closer to total world domination.

As for me - I'm just a humble writer. You probably already did read some of my work here on the site. Hopefully, without noticing that the style of our newsposts has slightly changed. I will also lurk the forums a bit, looking for reports on issues that demand our immediate attention.

System Shock? I still have my boxed retail copy of both installments, but I'm looking forward to seeing it in GOG.com catalog... someday ;-)

Anyway - nice to meet you guys!

aluinie: Hi nice to meet another new blue guy :)
I will note that G-Doc here should be one of the folks you guys contact if you've got a problem. He's part of my team, and part of his bailiwick is making sure that if you've got a problem, you have more than one visible person in the forums to reach out to. Treat him nicely and he may even have some contests to run for you guys. ;)

gameon: You always have words i've never heard. What on earth does that mean?
From the Wikipedia:

A bailiwick /ˈbeɪlɨwɪk/ is usually the area of jurisdiction of a bailiff, and may also apply to a territory in which the sheriff's functions were exercised by a privately appointed bailiff under a royal or imperial writ. The word is now more generally used in a metaphorical sense, to indicate a sphere of authority, experience, activity, study or interest. A bailiwick (German: “Ballei”) was also the territorial division of the Teutonic Order. Here, various “Komtur(en)” formed a Ballei province.

gameon: I see. So you are the sheriff and G-Doc is your deputy.
That's pretty accurate. :P

PMIK: So you should probably post his phone number somewhere on the site so we can call him at 2am if there are any issues :P
No need for that :D

I got my Panic Button of Emergency (tm) yesterday :D
