You need bigger guns when you’re looking for Groove.

[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/interstate_82/]Interstate '82, a unique addition to the vehicular combat games genre, set in one of the most colorful time periods, is available on GOG.com for only $5.99.

Remember the time when the USA was overrun by packs of terrorists in heavy armed cars, the government was plotting against its own citizens, and Devo was the hottest thing ever? Like, you know, the early 1980s? Well then, you have to see it for yourself! Become the vigilante driver, Taurus, and battle through hell on wheels in search of your missing friend, Groove Champion, the hero of Interstate ‘76.

Interstate '82 drops some of the car management mechanics in favor of more combat-oriented action in varied environments. Because the ‘80s, as we all know, were all about the raw firepower and funky good looks, the game enables you to alter the look of your ride up to the point of giving it a custom texture to go with the extreme arsenal of on-board guns. It also lets you switch rides in the middle of the mission, adding a new layer of strategic planning to the gameplay.

Interstate '82 is an action-packed love letter to automobile maniacs, featuring the craziest plot and a vibrant world in the spirit of the ‘80s. Hit the road hard for only $5.99.
Ahhh... This game... The one which immediately after playing it for the first time, my brand new hard-drive magically got partitioned, and the larger portion of it hidden from me... Took me an age and a half to sort out in those days before the internet... Mind, it was a new HD, so it may not have been the game that caused it - No evil effects appeared when I played and completed it a few years back.

Not a bad game, but not great by any means... Other than the soundtrack. Magnificent levels of cheesiness!
This game too crazy.

TheEnigmaticT: I will note that G-Doc here should be one of the folks you guys contact if you've got a problem.
So you should probably post his phone number somewhere on the site so we can call him at 2am if there are any issues :P

RafaelLopez: What's Devo?

Wishlisted. :)
Is this what I played years ago or was it called Interstate 76? Oh the conundrum

Was it good? That's pretty much what differentiates the two...

Oh, and IIRC, you can exit your vehicle in 82, not in 76.
Well that is hearbreaking!
I get the same old
"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005). Click OK to close the application"
On this version as I do with the old retail disc.

Post your problem (as well as computer specs) in the Interstate series forum, and email Support about the issue.
