Turn-based squad tactics goes to pixelated heaven. Or hell.

Halfway, an impressive throwback to the roots of tactical turn-based combat games with amazing pixel-art presentation and wonderfully dark hard Sci-Fi setting, is available for Windows, Mac OS, and Linux, 25% off on GOG.com. That's only *$9.74 for the first week!

Halfway, is a turn-based strategy RPG taking place a few hundred years into the future. Humanity has begun to colonise new worlds and until now, they were alone… In Halfway you take control of a small team of survivors faced with a violent invasion onboard the colonial vessel Goliath. As their leader you will guide them through the dark and cramped corridors of the ship to slowly take back control. If you have any hope of surviving, you’ll have to fight, face your fears and outsmart the enemy!

Find yourself in the middle of an engrossing story-line. Step by step you’ll uncover the mysterious events that took place and what it means for you and all of humanity, in Halfway, for only *$9.74 on GOG.com. The 25% off special release discount lasts until Thursday, October 30, at 12.00PM GMT.

*$9.74 is the discounted price for this title in the US. Other prices will apply in different countries. If you end up paying more than than the US price, we will reimburse the difference from our own pocket, giving it back to you in store credit (this is what we call the "Fair Price Package").
This looks quite good, and the "firefight through a boarded spaceship" storyline appeals to me. Will be getting it, just have to decide now if that will be today.

A side note, check the release images for most of the titles this week. It must be Good Old Guns time here. ;)

Grargar: Robotality's website might be down, but not the game's. Price is also the same there ($9.74).
Have you tried the game before? Does it have any randomly generated levels?
Pretty sweet release, glad it showed up here. :-)

Sorry, no idea.

PaterAlf: Now I'm interested which countries have to pay more than the US price? I'm in Germany and I get a price of $9.39. Not that I'm complaining, but that's unusual. Normally we are the ones who have to pay the highest price.
9.79 USD for Aussies :/. why oh why regional bs pricing?
high rated
I wrote a script to query prices in different regions and currencies - perhaps there are regions I don't know of, but here are the results I got for this one (USD results only):

AU_USD: 9.79 (12.99) 25% OFF
BR_USD: 9.74 (12.99) 25% OFF
DK_USD: 9.39 (12.49) 25% OFF
GB_USD: 9.79 (12.99) 25% OFF
PL_USD: 9.39 (12.49) 25% OFF
RU_USD: 5.39 (7.09) 24% OFF
US_USD: 9.79 (12.99) 25% OFF

The first price is current discount price; the second is standard price.

It seems like Russia, Europe and Brazil is cheaper than everyone else; no one's more expensive than US, so no Fair Price Packages here.

The game looks interesting - but my pile of shame aka backlog...
Interesting, this game looks like and probably uses the engine from Bluebyte's Albion.... oh GOG, get Albion into your catalogue.
This looks somewhat interesting. Wishlisting for now.
Since I'm going through my XCOM phase again, looks like this one is for me!
Damn. Might have to get this one. I need a break GOG!
Now this one looks very interesting! Want to have a look at some reviews first though, so wishlisted for now.
this game looks pretty much like Jagged Alliance in space... is it like a Jagged Alliance in space? in that case I might be interested :o)
I've heard some good stuff about this game (I think it's this game anyway) and I do love turn based strategy... wishlisted!

:)
Does anyone know if Halfway has randomized levels?
