Race through the odd odds.

Vangers, a classic quirky original mash-up of a racing game, an RPG, and a shooter, giving you freedom to explore a vast sandbox of a strange and surprising gameworld, is available on GOG.om, for only $5.99.

Vangers is a mixture of various, yet consistent gameplay components. The player enters the strange world of the future, emerged as a result of the clash between humankind and another intelligent race of creatures, and now living according to its own rules. The world challenges for the quest. With a big sandbox of a world to explore and shape, multiple endings and open gameplay, and over 70 mods to customize one of the 30 available "cars", this little-known classic will keep you entertained for hours!

Embrace the wheel of your vehicle and the disturbing strangeness of the late-1990s artistic vision in Vangers, for only $5.99 on GOG.com.

JudasIscariot: Knock Knock? Space Rangers (yes, I know it's not here :( )?

vicklemos: That "knock knock?" of yours seemed kinda intentional, like "knock knock? don't you know that space rangers is a weird russian game? Duh!"
:P

ps: Space Rangers is truly awesome!
I remember seeing the cinemaware label on a boxed copy here, some ten years ago, if I'm not mistaken... anyway, I'll vote for it :)
GOG used to sell it. A catalog loss from a good while ago.

NOW THERE IS A SALES PITCH! :D

For real GOG, hire this guy to do your promo work from now on. There was no way I was going to get this but now it's must have.

AND NO I'm not being sarcastic.

SInce Knock Knock, The Void and Pathalogic are all from Ice Pick Lodge, may as well list the missing game here also: Cargo - The Quest for Gravity. No other game is based around making naked dwarfs explode in happiness.

Didn't know that Outcry was called Sublustrum, humm. Nice name.
And Perimeter isn't a proper weird one, I guess.
It's damn cool, though, and its storyline is absolutely great.

And Full Pipe is a true russian classic, amirite?

Perimetr made by the sme team and set in the "previous" version of the universe of the Univang. :) So you may call Perimetr some kind of prequel to the Vangers. But Vangers where made 1st.

TIL that russian games kick way more ass than I previously thought :)
I've never heard of this game before. Is it like Death Rally? Does it work with an Xbox 360 controller?

Well, to tell the truth, Perimeter is a kind of prequel for Vangers; so figure out if it's weird or not. But I agree that Perimeter's gameplay itself is far less weird than gameplay of Vangers, that's true indeed.

Speaking about Full Pipe, I can't call it a true classic here, because everybody hardly remembers it now. But in a «Russian weirdness» way ― yeah, that's definitely the case. Anyway, it's a game by Ivan Maximov, who's mostly known as an animator, not a game developer. You can watch his movies on his official site. One can say that «Full Pipe» is just another one of them ― but interactive one.
