Desmond Miles is a bartender, a simple lad who is abducted by a mysterious organization and attached to the Animus, a strange machine that allows him to access his ancestor’s memories. Now he--and you--can see the events that happened in the year 1191, the time of the third crusade in the Holy Land vividly, and Desmond find himself assuming the role of Altaïr ibn La-Ahad, a merciless killer that carries out assassinations ordered by the most mysterious and deadliest clan of assassins.

Assassin’s Creed: Director’s Cut Edition is a game that redefined the action genre with open gameplay, intuitive controls, incredibly fluid combat mechanics, and realistic interactions with the world surrounding you. Every architectural detail like window ledges, carvings in the stone or wooden bars can be used to as environmental props for fluid, acrobatic movement. Depending on your choices, the crowd will allow you to blend in or expose you to the guards. There are many ways to reach your goals, but the result must be always lethal. Stunning graphics and crisp sound effects complete the perfect gaming experience Assassin’s Creed has to offer.

The Director’s Cut Edition features improved artificial intelligence, more detailed graphics, some smaller additions and improvements, and most noticeably, four new missions, including the Roof Chase, Kill the Archers, Destroy the Market Stands, and Escort.

You can expect immersing and unique gameplay experience dressed to kill now on GOG.com. Bundled into a Premium Edition with more than 250 minutes of soundtracks, an official artbook, wallpapers, avatars, design sketches, and more, its full price is $19.99, but you pick it up for a limited time together with our Heroes of Might and Magic V Bundle on a special introductory buy one, get one free sale!
I can pick this up from pretty much every store for about £5. I can also easily pick up ALL of the Heroes of Might and Magic games for £12.
I take the bundle for $10 each . . =)

spinefarm: AC1 & HOMM5 on GamersGate have Tages... so yes this is kinda new (with Amazon sale)
Well, like I said, the AC1 being DRM free on the Amazon sale was new yeah, it was mentioned then that Amazon had been pushing for it. Hadn't paid attention to HOMM5 but could be as well. So yeah, those are sort of a new push. Most of the others were already made DRM free in the last few years though.

It's not new for Ubisoft to DRM-free their older games, but they're mostly remembered for their horrid DRM on their newer releases :)
Nice pack. :)
I hope there's more Ubi DRM-free games in the next weeks/months. I would love to have the Splinter Cell / Prince of Persia collection and Assassin's Creed 2 in my gog library. :D

You are wrong mate. If you browse around Ubisoft catalogue on GamersGate, you will notice that 99% of the titles on that Amazon sale have Tages listed as a DRM...
*wrong thread delete

So AC / HOMMV will only be available at the appropriate price for one week....
Interesting.
Too expensive. It's £5 on Amazon.
Steam has the game for half the price.

I'm not wrong. We (goggers) already went over this back during the Amazon sale. A lot of these games may come with the DRM but if you patch it up the DRM gets patched out.

Here's the thread where we had roughly the same discussion :)

As you can see, a load of them already had their DRM patched out as early as 2009. Some 2007. Gamersgate seems to have 'different' DRM in some cases though, but that's on them, not the particular titles.

Well it's DRM free. ;)
Does anyone know if, in this Director's Cut edition, it is possible to save anywhere any-time (like in any real PC game), or if the missions have to be restarted when failed (like in most console ports) ?

Guess someone at GG don't do his work :)
Haha, just a couple days ago I bought the 1 and 2 budle for 10$. This is a really fun one, I'm in memory block 4 at the moment and having a blast.

The tutorial is boring as shit and I cannot for the life of me consistently gently push people out of the way.
Glad to see the best game of this series on GOG. I already own a retail copy, but I might buy it here too due to the bonus content.
