Lodium: Why do people care what the site looked like when they joined.
Its a website for crying out loud.
If it had been a veteran car then i coud somewhat understand it, but its a website, websites change.
Maybe 40 years from now people wont even use php, java etc but some kind of hologram based, who knows.

Point is stuff advances and its no point being stuck in the past.
avatar
hedwards: Because not everything should advance. GOG had a classy community where touchy subjects could come up without becoming a flamewar. There were tons of retro games that you really couldn't get legitimately elsewhere and GOG still has plenty of them that haven't yet been released, but are being bumped back by newer games.

Stuff does advance, but that doesn't mean that it's always better. Nor does it mean that everything should advance.
GoG still have a classy community
at least i dont know many sites that have their forums this clean of flamewars.
Also, people that are intrested in old games will find them and people will take notice of old games if they like to get them.
People dont like to be forced to choose, like they dont want to be forced to get a product with DRM.
So freedom of choice will create happy gamers and those who are intrested enough will get the older games.
But even so, you cant stop digitally created sites from evolving and thats also true for physical stuff.

I have a really old computer besides this one
Its so old there isnt any program that support it anymore and i can just forget getting parts for it since the factory that used to produce it is long gone.
So if i had followed your philosophy and kept to that ancient computer i woudnt be able to post here and i woud certinly not be able to play alot of games that are on this site.

Right, just keep telling yourself that. GOG had a classy community, but flamewars, trolling and generally unclassy behavior here is hardly difficult to find. Comparing it with other sites isn't relevant as we aren't on a different site. GOG used to have a classy community, but that's long since changed and people are quite cranky and prone to flaming these days.

There is a diferance on flamewars and healthy discussions with people of difrent opinions, i woudnt call a few people discussing and maybe arguing a little about a certian topic for a flamewar
Though i woudnt say there are no flamewars here.
If its a site with a forum that existt on the internet then it woud atract people that are intrested in such.
Thats why many sites have mods and rules to keep people in check or at least to keep
threads to going completly out of hand.
To be honest i feel that this site lack such a feature, but i still come back to this site.

Yea rigth.
So if i have a opinion that differ from yours then im a troll.
Thats news for me.
I dont even.........

On release some people here complained about the price. Seems GOG or Ubisoft has heard them. Only two months later you can have it for half price. Waiting seems to be totally worth it. Only being a lazy person I would love to have the good prices all the time. If I don't buy it this weekend I might have to wait until the next christmas sale for 50% again.

Even for 10$ I still think it's way overpriced for such a mediocre game. I have no idea how the rest of the series is but this one left a nasty taste in my mouth.
