AI War: Fleet Command + 6 DLC Campaigns!

AI War Collection, containing the base AI War: Fleet Command space strategy epic combining 4X gameplay on a galactic scale and tactical RTS combat on the planetary level, and its six elaborate DLC expansions including the newly-released Destroyer of Worlds add-on, is available 60% off for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux on GOG.com. That's only $6.79 for the first week! Alternatively, you can get just the base game and get the DLC pack later (both of them also 60% off for a week!).

Humanity has already fought its war against the machines -- and lost. Now it's your job to win the ultimate David vs Goliath battle. Go forth into the galaxy, steal AI technology, recapture those planets you must in order to achieve your ends, and save what remains of humanity. But draw too much attention to yourself, and the full might of the AI overlords will come crashing down. The inattention of the larger AI is our only hope: a small resistance, too insignificant even to be noticed by the AI central command, has survived. These are the forces you will command. The AI subcommanders will fight you to the death when they see you -- but your glimmer of opportunity comes from quietly subduing those subcommanders without alerting central processing to the danger until it's too late.

AI War Collection features some of the most unique AI ever seen in the genre, set in procedurally-generated galaxies with 50,000+ ships in them. It's a unique blend of 4X and grand strategy thinking at the galaxy-map level with RTS mechanics and tactics at the planetary level. The combined edition offered here contains the base Fleet Command game and all 6 of the released expansions: The Zenith Remnant, Children of Neinzul, Light of the Spire, Ancient Shadows, Vengeance Of The Machine, and the brand new Destroyer of Worlds add-on.

The human race has only one last chance at survival and the resposibility to take it can be yours for only $6.79 in AI War Collection on GOG.com. The special 60% off release discount (for the combined edition as well as the separate base game and DLC pack) lasts until Monday, August 25, at 9:59AM GMT.

micktiegs_8: Holy crap I didn't think I'd see the day it finally came here. Thank you Arcen :)
Not only that but our collection is the first to have the new Destroyer of Worlds DLC available for sale, AFAIK :)

deonast: Yay got on humble bundle last year DRM free download and Steam but buying again here to support the GOGonaught in the making. Though the humble bundle did come with some FLAC soundtracks so you might want to see what Arcen can do there, for the GOG loyalists.

Speaking of steam, might be time for a hot shower, best use of steam yet.
Unfortunately, we probably won't be able to do much since the soundtracks are being sold either via bandcamp, Amazon, or even iTunes :(

Merchito: A bit confused, there.
I am a stranger to the genre, but considering trying it.
GOG says this is Real Time strategy.
Reviewers say this is 4X (meaning turn-based management, I believe).

Isn't it contradictory?
According to Arcen themselves it's "A Grand Strategic 4X Tower Defense RTS" :)

Silverhawk170485: It seems that the downlaodlink to the DLC for Mac OS is wrong. Clicking on the link also leads to the standart installer.
Fixed :) The proper link should be showing up in just a few minutes :) Sorry about that :D

Matruchus: I have all the dlc besides Vengeance of the Machine on Steam from longtime ago. As I said dlc are new ships, building, new types of ai, new map types. Basically the dlc gives you new ways of playing the game and taking on the AI so I think they are worth the price but if you are not sure just buy the base game but im not sure if you will see the dlc discounted any soon after this.

IronArcturus: Interesting! Does GOG's version of the DLC have just one installer? Or is it like 4+ separate installers that all need to be run?
Two installers: one for Fleet Command and one for all the DLC :)
avatar
IAmSinistar: As a side note, when I got the base title from Bundle In A Box (R.I.P.), they included the "AI War Prototype". I wonder if Arcen Games would be interested in offering this as a GOG bonus, seeing as there is nowhere else to get it now, at least that I know of.
Fixed :) Check your account :P
avatar
IAmSinistar: Awesome, thanks! You should tout this on the gamecard as well, I don't know that anyone else includes this now.
avatar
IronArcturus: So can the DLC all be played concurrently or is it all separated with different ships?
All the DLC can be enabled or disabled from the main menu :)
avatar
Immoli: And I just realized this says it includes the 6th expansion. Can someone confirm this for me? Seems weird that they'd do this since the expansion just released.

It'd be cheaper for me to buy the AI War Collection than buy the 3 expansions I am missing.
Yes, the 6th expansion is included :)

Redfern: WAIT A SEC, so they made a build for linux after all that delays? ok, BUT where is correspoinding builds in Humble Store\Bundle and Desura?
I would never guess that there will be situation when GOG is only place to get Linux port of game!
Amazing, isn't it? From no Linux to ALL the Linux in no time at all :P
avatar
Matruchus: Humble never sold AI WAR as much as I know. At least they don't sell it in their store now.

A Valley Without Wind 2
AI War: Ancient Shadows
AI War: Children of Neinzul

BTW, folks should note that usually Arcen games comes with serial keys, so its not 100% Drm-free
Any Arcen game found on GOG does NOT require any sort of license key whatsoever, just to clear that up :)

Redfern: Yeah, i glad to see how GOG releasing new stuff, really, but just want to mention that it would be great if GOG pushed developers of games already in catalog about native ports which available in other stores. There is till a huge list of games still not received corresponding ports.
We're doing what we can as fast as we can but these kind of things take time :)

Matruchus: Yes but we need to watch out for the white rabbit that at the end catched Dennis Nedry.
I am afraid I don't get the reference. Care to enlighten me?

Matruchus: Dennis Nedry - Jurrasic Park programmer got eaten by dinosaurs cause of programming mistake when he misprogrammed the system. The password to reset the system was white rabbit.
Ah OK :) Been a long time since I watched Jurassic Park so a lot of the finer references are lost on me :)
