Well this is an unexpected game to see here.
Never heard of it, seems nice.
does anyone know this title? what game would you compare it to?
Quick ? can you create character and customise them or are the team members set?
Good release.
Good, can we expect more Cyanide games here ?
Never heard of it.
Looks interesting :)
Hmm realtime pause
At least its a partybased game :)

LOL it looks like GOG have side-stepped my list AGAIN:

Cyanide Studios usually publish through Focus so all their other (non licensed) stuff I put under Focus but I'd left this one off because its self-published and now its the one that turns up!
I've been occasionally watching episodes of this lets play, and it seems fairly interesting, from a gameplay standpoint. Lots of things going on, you need to stay on your toes: Splattercat plays Aarklash Legacy

And pretty skill trees, which is a weakness of mine!

Didn't get the impression you want the game for the `intriguing story' or the `fascinating fantasy world' though :P (but hey, I might be wrong)
It looks kind of interesting, although at times the screen looks way too busy for me.
But that could just be bad screenshots.

It is a team based action RPG - it is very heavy focused on team gameplay mechanic. It’s a bit as you were controlling 4 person team in MMO. The story is very intriguing and I love the overall atmosphere :)

@aluinie - No, you can't create any party characters - only recruit them and then change them. You can customize their equipment and their skills. And there is a lot of skills here :)

Kunovski: does anyone know this title? what game would you compare it to?
@KunovskiAM - It’s a bit hard to compare this to anything more than classic team based RPG games like Baldurs Gate, but it won’t be fair - because this game is more of the action driven title than BG was.

In my book its like a modern version of Icewind Dale without the RPG part. In short its a combat based game with a party of 4. The combat is realtime but you can, and should, pause at important moments. You can customize the auto pause system too, just like Icewind Dale.

You can control 4 members total but there are 8 characters in total. There is no custom characterization possible. And it has very limited RPG elements, there is however a lot of banter going on while you explore the land and fight battles. Each of these members have a skill tree and a rudimentary item system, only rings and so called relics, but thats it. And there are different classes so a good party setup is important.

The game basically evolves around fighting groups of enemies with an occasional boss battle.

To make it short its a really fun game and despite the developers bad rep, most of their games are pretty average, this game is actually well made. And I mean both gameplay and technical.

so my verdict is get if you like party based combat games.

I guess "tactical combat" in the description gave me wrong expectations. Too bad. Still, looks very nice.
