JackArseington: Not to be rude but Q3 SUCKED.......no single player after two games of perfectly balanced single/multiplayer game play.
I didn't really mind that, especially as Quake 2's single player was really quite awful and incredibly dull.

Hehe so am I. Years of training (not accumulated though!) with the railgun and I still miss 4 out of 5 shots at close range.

Anyone else miss the grappling hook?
Grapple was definitely fun. It carried over to Quake 2 as well with the Loki's Minions CTF (LMCTF) mod and the "Runes" mod DM servers usually had it enabled as well back then.

I liked it myself. I didn't get much into the expansions though...and don't get me started on how different Q1 and Q2 are.

Been playing Quake 3 quite actively with friends and brothers via Gameranger. There seems to be a reasonable number of servers on GR, although most I can't play on since my ping is too high.

Woooo yeah. Nothing like a good round of The Longest Yard after a pissy day. Anyone ever beat Nightmare bots, 1v1, on TLY? Got any tips? I'm not the most accurate player around, but I know my way around with the railgun. I find it hardest to play when the enemy (Nightmare) has a railgun, and it's goodbye Charlie.

I love Quake 3. I only play it against bots, though. I got the Ultimate Quake Collection, but for some reason it doesn't come with the expansions. I figured that was ok, I mean, the Quake 1 and 2 add-ons weren't developed by iD, but Team Arena was. But I figured, whatever. Until I discovered that the Quake 1 disc had a video about Quake on it. Including clips from the Quake 1 and 2 add-ons.

I can host a server. It'd be in London, though.
