Play the first part of the game three weeks before the release only on GOG.com.

[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/resonance]Resonance, the retro-style graphical adventure from publisher of the Blackwell Bundle we released yesterday (get it now 33% off!), has been available for pre-order for two weeks already. However, thanks to the wonderful people from Wadjet Eye Games, and your favorite digital distributor filled with dash and derring-do, the Playable Preview of Resonance is available to all the people who pre-ordered the game. We’re incredibly pleased to offer our users exclusive deals and best offers, but the four hours of Resonance Playable Preview available three weeks before the release is something GOG.com is really proud of.

Playable Preview is available for download as bonus content, so just go to ‘My Account’, click Resonance and download the preview either through your browser or the GOG.com Downloader.

If you don’t know what Resonance is, check the or [url=http://www.youtube.com/embed/0KlFyjyUM3Y]trailer below, and if you already pre-ordered, you’re probably not reading this but already downloading.
ok, so what if I gave this a try...? can't hurt...
but i don't get it.. i have to pre-order to play a demo?...
Yup, it's a bit odd. I won't touch it since I'll wait for the full release. This actually would be better to give to a friend, who's sitting on the fence, as a demo of sorts - though I doubt it's really legal under agreement with GOG. It really doesn't seem to have any other real use.
Good decision that I bought it yesterday. Really don't if I should play the preview now, it's about three weeks to the release. If there is save function I will maybe start the week before release, so the break isn't so big.
Doesn't that sort of defeat the purpose of a demo?

GOG.com: the Playable Preview of Resonance is available to all the people who pre-ordered the game.
This does not strike me as logical.
Gonna avoid it. I'll wait to experience the story in the full game.
The game will be out in 20 days : until this date, I have all the time to finish the Blackwell bundle so no time to play the demo :o)

As pointed by others, you should release the demo for everyone as it was done with sharewares in the good old days ;)
good old days? The acronym for that would be GOD... Whoa...

And, you lot convinced me. Better wait to play the full game than to play the demo and start itching for the next 3 weeks...

Will GOG also get Gemini Rue in the future?
Man, I love Wadjet Eyes adventures...
I love the logic of it all.
"Give us your money and we'll give you a taste of the game."
It would of course have made an insane amount more sense to let everybody download the preview so they can get excited about the game. Unless of course it's not very good.
Also, can you use the saves from the preview with the full game?
Otherwise you've wasted four hours of playing that you'll have to do all over again.. and you'll have paid for that privilege.

Maybe it's there so people that don't like it can get a refund?

Still quite silly though.

I haven't seen 4 hour long demo since ever. It's rather beta access, like it was with Diablo 3.

So stoked to play this demo. Not Stoked that my preorder through Wadjeteye's website for the box version does not allow the demo. Well another month of waiting it is.

Hey everybody, game dev here to clarify a few things:

This is not a demo. The public demo of the game is not ready yet, but will be a much smaller portion of the game. This is a very sizeable chunk of the the full game, which GoG wanted to offer exclusively to pre-orderers, so we prepared it for you!

So, if you want to take a peak at the game before the full version becomes available, now's your chance! If you want to wait and play the game when the whole thing is available to you, your free to do so! (It gives you time to buy and play that Blackwell Bundle!)

I will point out that because this preview is built on near-complete-but-not-quite-complete code, the saves from this preview WILL NOT be compatible with the full version of the game. However, we will provide you with some way to skip to the point in the game where this preview leaves off. But your points and achievements will not follow forward. So, if you're keen on that kind of thing, you would need to replay this portion of the game. There's about 4 hours of gameplay here, but if you know what you're doing, you can buzz through much faster than that.

So if you'd like to try out the first part of the game, you're now able to do so. (Be sure to tell us what you think!) If you want to wait, the full game will be here soon!
