I know it is better suited for Kickstarter thread but as this is related to the game sold here, I thought it is a suitable for main thread.

Kickstarter for a remake of hardcore Russian classic gamePathologic started today. It is created by Ice-Pick Lodge that you might also know for Knock-Knock or Void.

What do you think?

Pathologic wasn't that old, was it? A remake already?

And to think I checked titles of first 3 forum pages, lol. What a sneaky title! Thanks for the link, Sachys. Almost 10 years. It isn't that old but it was rather crude-looking. Maybe a remake will help to bring a wider audience.

I think what it really needs is good English localization. The absurd thing is that we discussed with friends some time ago why Ice-Pick Lodge just doesn't do Kickstarter for remade translation.

Backed. Pathologic is one of the most weirdly atmospheric games I've played and it has many flaws that could be potentially corrected with a proper remake.

Really looking forward to this, although at the moment I sadly can't back it.

Maybe their aim is to improve the playability as well? I've tried to play it a couple of times, but it just feels a bit off to me. I've istalled it twice just to uninstall it after an hour, as something about the game just didn't feel good.

I'm very happy that this is happening, Pathologic deserves a good remake, it has been a rough diamond, now it can become a masterpiece. And it's really nice to see that they got over 60k in just a few hours.
