I'm not rich, but when there is a price drop, and I don't check daily, I'd love to know when, so I can purchase the game. I've missed Sanitarium, and the deal was too short. In days where people have to evolve in real life situations, can't always check sales every 24 hours. I just sort of wished there was 72 hour sales, or weekend sales or at least put on wish list, when it drops, you can go in and buy it instantly.

Thanks!
Well there is an option under "my account" to active e-mails for sales and promos.

Sales are usually weekends. They were only daily for the summer gems promo.

Typically, one game is one sale each weekend... 72 hours roughly.
Also, the recent sales were a special thing GOG did (1 deal a day for 18 days), they're returning to their more regular deals now (usually Weekends and the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month). And they send e-mails out for the weekend deals if you have it checked under "My account" like Spirla said.

Also, not quite sure what you mean by the wish list, since there is such a feature already (not the auto-purchasing, but you can add a game to your wish list and purchase it straight from that under "My account".

Hope this cleared some stuff up a little bit.
Hum... use the "Wishlist" feature of your account and check back the site regularly? Heck, I visit GOG.com at least twice a day :-P
The wednesday sales are deliberately not announced by e-mail, they're intended to get people to check the site more often. Just remember to get here the 1st and 3rd wednesday of every month.
I can't recommend the email notification, as it tend to be pretty late. At least in my case. The gap between a news or sale announcements and the receipt of an corresponding email can be up to 9h, just like the last one.

I found a better alternative to the email notification: Subscribe to the RSS feed of the front page. This way you don't miss the Wednesdays or special sales either. Here is the link:

http://www.gog.com/en/frontpage/rss

In your case I would recommend to subscribe to the RSS feed via a Gmail account. This way you can check the latest GOG news with your mobile, too, without wasting much bandwith or time in loading GOG's Frontpage.

And most importantly you should not forget that GOG is a company based in Poland. Take the time difference to your advantage. Most news or sale announcements are published around 12 o'clock (high noon) Warsaw time. The time zone difference between Poland and USA goes from -7h (NY) and -10h (LA). (I'll just ignore Hawaii for now ;-)

So if you check the news feed / emails between 6am and 8am you shouldn't miss a sale again.

As others have said they do send emails for the regular weekend sales.

I use Twitter for everything else, ALL their sales are announced on their as far as I know.

During the daily GEM promo, you could have known the sale by following their twitter feed or liking them on facebook. For weekend promo sales, they send out an email - or you can follow their RSS feed.
