Uhh, okay. So do you bust into stores on a regular basis and knock the display cases over for having things you already own or what?
GOG sells cracked games?
Painkiller is worth 99c?
And for the 09854984866th time, you get a lot of bonuses with GOG games, which may or may not be worth a dollar. You also don't have to use some client, which bugs a lot of people.
Is it getting a bit heated in here or is it just me? ;)

cutterjohn: Actually I pay $0 since as I mentioned above I already own about 95+% of what's available on gog AND have a BETTER crack AS WELL AS A NICE PHYSICAL PAPER MANUAL, so why don't you fanbois go fuck yourselves... most of the shit here is worth $0.99 at best, or worst what it's available from elsewhere which is generally less than what gog wants for it.

If you already own a game and are quite happy with how it performs then naturally a new copy of it wouldn't be worth much (if anything) to you. As for what the games here are worth to other people, every product is worth what someone is willing to pay for it, and since quite a few people are willing to buy the games here at $5.99 and $9.99 then obviously those games are worth that much to quite a few people.
Also, to the regulars who have posted here: we're probably going to seeing quite a few new members coming through here, many of who will post things we find bothersome or annoying. Try to stay cool about it, getting belligerent about every little thing isn't going to help anything.
A good advantage of gog vs the old boxed copies is that gog versions are fully up to date and etc so you don't have to mess with it.

cutterjohn: Um, because they're ripping people off?
2. Steam, Gamersgate, etc.

1. They're only ripping people off if we can find similar product for significantly cheaper elsewhere.
2. Please give us URLs to the particular game page.

cutterjohn: so why don't you fanbois go ...

You come to this site and antagonize the community: What are you hoping to accomplish?

I can live fine with bothersome and annoying . I draw the line at offensive.

Fortunately the line between bothersome, annoying, offensive, and even amusing is one that we each get to decide where to draw. I find it much better for my blood pressure to be amused by these kinds of things. ;)

DarrkPhoenix: Actually if you look at a number of the $10 gog games you'll see them for $5 on most other digital distros unless they're really ancient in which case, as I implied above they're worth $0.25 - $0.50 unless you're a publisher or gog schill...
[EDIT]
and if you're apublisher you should be mortally ashamed as most of the works are from studios that your parent company drove into the ground or otherwise shit upon...

Ah, c'mon, that eurofag crap it's beyond what anyone would find bothersome or annoying, not to mention all the crap about gog.
On the other hand maybe you're right and i'm loosing my sense of humour, i dunno...
Edit: Nope, apparently i was right ;)

If you don't like the prices here, then don't buy from here.

I might be wrong, but weekend deals here are usually around $1 off, if you can buy the same games somewhere else at already $1 less, why come here?

Why don't you just throw away your old games collection if you think they're near worthless?
Well, bearcat33's gonna be pissed when he finds out he has competition for Biggest Stain on GOG.
