(OTOH most of the stuff here available elsewhere is a minimum $1 cheaper elsewhere...)
[EDIT]
I'm beginning to feel like a whiney-ass euro-fag whining about prices on Steam, or, worse, Gamersaget(Swedish company now).

the extra $1 is DRM-free tax and assorted bonuses (soundtrack, wallpaper, etc.) tax.

Catshade: [EDIT2]
Seriously are the rest of the World people other than Russians, Chinese, And Indians so seriously repressed that they find gog to be insanely crazy? (I use cracks for new games just to not bother carrying around disks ans not to be punished for being a legit customer, which I dEXTREMELY laughable when a crack/pirate copy is available BEFORE "legitimate" release... Oh well, gog, kind of tries to address this but they phail in pricing(my eurofag whinge from a NA perspective) unfortunately unless the game is ANCIENT gog has less of a crack than what is currently already in cirfculation or pirates the origial crack theirselves as in, i.e. I wonder if they asked the original cracker for permission to dist their crack...
DRM is gay, it's phail, and every time I buy a game I get a DRM free copy first... hmmm... FOAD publishers until you learn exactly who buys your crap...

Nobody is making you shop here. You don't like the titles or the prices, go somewhere else, its that simple.

Ah, a self-confessed pirate. Get the fuck out of here.
EDIT: Wait, I'm sorry if you mean you crack your legitimate copy of game. However, many of us can't buy a legitimate copy of these old games until GOG exist.
EDIT2: Well, if you consider most of GOG catalogue is 'ancient crap', no wonder it's hard to justify the $5.99 price-tag. OTOH, most of GOG user consider many of these games as masterpiece, so they think $5.99 is an absolute steal.

Dear fuckwit, I already own original physical copies of c. 90% of what is available from gog.
As to buying, you bet that if I want to buy another copy that end price is a concern and that's where I spend my $$, so I have c. 4 gog purchases and 8 Steam out of 12 available on gog & Steam... hmmm... I'm not a mindless minion minion fanboi, so given at least $1 per title I've already saved $8...
Now add in gamersagate, and impulse... hmm.... let me see oh yeah I'll pay gog moree for well nothing...

No, you're a moron.
You'll pay GOG more for nothing? Well, enjoy getting those games from other sources that are riddled with DRM, have absolutely no extra features, are not guaranteed compatible with modern hardware and have little to no after purchase support. Yep, you're really paying GOG that extra measly dollar for nothing.
You get a bunch of bonuses and stuff for the extra. And the site rocks. Shop around, you have the ability to.
And quoting yourself looks really goofy.

Actually I pay $0 since as I mentioned above I already own about 95+% of what's available on gog AND have a BETTER crack AS WELL AS A NICE PHYSICAL PAPER MANUAL, so why don't you fanbois go fuck yourselves... most of the shit here is worth $0.99 at best, or worst what it's available from elsewhere which is generally less than what gog wants for it.
[EDIT[]sure when gog started they were good, buy all the other distributors copped on quickly and undercut gog, and now gog looksm foolish with most of their prices when it's available from elsewhere...
Frankly to me, gog's mostly a joke and in only a VERY few cases do they interest me, like when they have an extended version that either wasn't offered in the US or I didn't originally buy that version. Beyond that gog offers exactly nothing. (Now if they actually fixed some of the old games from Europe...)[/EDIT]

Ah, I guess its time to stop feeding the troll now. It must be after midnight somewhere, and you know what happens when they eat too late.

1. If you already have 95% of GOG's catalogue in physical media + cracks, what are you complaining about? GOG is for people who don't have those games or people who want backups, compatibility fixes, and extras.
2. Please show us where we can legally buy most games in GOG catalogue cheaper elsewhere. Oh, and ones that work in XP, Vista, and 7.

Catshade: Um, because they're ripping people off?
2. Steam, Gamersgate, etc.
[EDIT[The obtuse with skads of cash want to pay gog excessive amounts of money can feel free, but to the smart consumer, here's a tip:
shop around
most of the decent title available here are avilable from several other digital distributors for less
[/EDIT

gog's forum sw sucks ass too
