Tom Clancy challenges you to use your tactical and stealth skills as a "Ghost" and save the world from a new Cold War in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon.
[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/tom_clancys_ghost_recon][/url]Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon is a tactical first-person shooter by Red Storm Entertainment and the first game of the acclaimed Ghost Recon series. The game puts you in charge of a US Military Special Forces squad, often referred to as "the Ghosts". Your task is to perform highly classified missions in Eastern Europe, to help prevent Russian ultra-nationalists from rebuilding the Iron Curtain. For each mission you need to hand-pick a six-man squad of expert soldiers and use your tactical acumen to complete your objectives, preferably with little or no friendly casualties. Your efficiency may be the world's last hope against a new Cold War.

How the hell am I supposed to afford a new TV if you mongrels keep releasing awesome games that I'm too impatient to wait for?

A new TV doesn't sound like something you'll play Good Old Games on.
woohoo for the game!
...but boo hoo for the price :/
i don't know if i like this ubi's semi friendly [quasi friendly rather...] pricing policy.
anyway. ghost recon have great multi (missions in coop an so on). i loved all of GR games (i'm also BIG BIG fan of graw 1 and 2 on x360...)
if only they could give us whole set for this 9$ .. :) . Or would this be just far too great?

Are you saying you wouldn't want to play Cannon Fodder on a 101cm plasma running at 1920x1080??
Mmm... I don't like Ghost Recon very much. I think I'm more a Rainbow Six guy.

Er.. yeah. I raced over to buy it assuming it'd be $5.99... $9.99 seems rather steep. I don't see anything about it coming with expansion packs that might justify that price.
Maybe later...
This game ROCKS! THX GOG
Does it contain Island Thunder and Desert Siege?
I've never played these games before, is it one of these super accurate (as physically possible at the time) games which require hours of sneaking around - or can you just John Rambo it?

imo - it's rather something in between ;)
it's tactical but not as hardcore as first rainbow six for instance ;)
go give it a chance! [or wait for some promo week ;)]

Hmm, I'm not liking the $9.99 trend for games here, especially ones as old as this, but I'm assuming this is more Ubisoft's doing. I'll still probably cave in and buy it on pay day though. I'm a sucker for the tactical FPS
I'll cross my fingers for a cool surprise release this week. :-)

homm or gorky 17, perhaps?
for a change - some good OLD game would be nice [screamer 2 pleease]. Ubi have huge lineup of classic old games. i hope we'll get them here with advantage of good old ubi games over the good ubi games.
right now i see some trend to put games that are not THAT old. in some way i understand them [ubi] - 'new' games would sell better than really old classics [respect for codies and gog team for cannon fodder].
'Sad but true' i must admit.
but hey - if gog have to be steam alternative - they must have balanced lineup...
