The portals connecting the shattered islands of Eo start to collapse. The whole world is in panic and despair.

[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/spellforce_2_dragon_storm]Spellforce 2: Dragon Storm is a refreshing “RPG meets Fantasy Strategy” combo, in which the RPG elements just enrich the awesome RTS experience. The GOG.com version of Dragon Storm is a stand-alone expansion to the second part of the game.

Chaos reigns over the mythical land of Eo and the Shaikans investigate the problem. Upon closer inspection they reveal ancient ruins of the long forgotten first race to walk the plains of Eo: the Shapers. Once the rulers of the world, the Shapers discovered the Essence of Magic, and the struggle to control the essence led to a civil war and the apparent extinction of their race. Shaikans awaken one of these ancients, the Creator, and now chaos spreads. The only ally the Shaikans can muster is the race that once saved Eo from the Shapers threat the Dragons, exiled long ago. This add-on expands the universe by adding the Sheikan faction, and also adds a new campaign, more loot, spells, and a complex crafting system. Revisit familiar grounds, meet friends from your past adventures in Eo (incl. The Soulbearer or Flink McWinter), and (of course) save the entire world from doom.
well i've played the game and i like.
Altough the spellforce 2 series are not so profound as the first spellforce , its still quite enjoyable.
I personally discovered that i like tot turtle in spellforce.
This isn't an option in spelforce 2 = read you cannot fill the place with towers anymore.
Other then that i sometimes would like to smack some sense into my partymembers who seem to go braindead once in a while.

As for the story its 30 in a dozen , been there done that , but the game mechanics and the bright fresh style makes up for it.
Any tips how to run this game smoothly on Dual Core 1,8 GHz, 3 GB of ram and Ati Radeon x1350? Because framerate for me is horrible :(

Mr.Spatula: Yup, we are all ungrateful. We should thank GoG for trying to make money off us, and buy every single thing they put out no matter what because we owe it to them... right?

Don't be stupid. GoG is a business and if they release something people feel is overpriced it's not selfish or spoiled to not buy it and leave feedback as to why you're not buying it. GoG's job is to convince me to give them money, I don't owe them a damn thing and I certainly don't have any reason to be grateful to them for trying to make a buck off me.
You completely missed my point or didn't bother reading my post.

This is the price it is set at digitally everywhere. It is a fair price if it's the same everywhere. You expect GOG to wipe your asses and make it even cheaper when it shouldn't be. None of the complaints are justified.

TParis: And you better dont get offending. I think its overpriced and would rather get Spellforce Universe retail for much lower price. My 2 cents - live with it.
You're entitled to your opinion, but people were aiming their attacks at GOG it seemed, so I assumed you were also doing the same when it isn't their fault if it's priced this everywhere else. (:

(Sorry if it feels like too off-topic/trivia, but I thought it interesting to share...)
Has anyone noticed how similar this game's flash picture resembles that of Magic Carpet? Yeah, I know, it's due to the dragons, but anyway.
I attach two screenshots to show it in case someone reads it at a time when they won't be on the main page anymore.

Absolutely thought the same. :)
By the way, I flagged all the "reviews" bitching about the price as spam, and I advice any other to do the sane, as they ARE SPAM, SINCE THERE SHOULD BE R E V I E W S there, not those horrible excuses for a forum post...

I think you missed the point.

It does not matter what the price is elsewhere. GoG's job is to convince me to buy from them. Some people really like the whole DRM free thing... me? I don't care so much (the only DRM problem I've ever had was with FO3 and it took like 2 min to fix). I like steam, so all things being equal maybe I'd just buy it from them (especially if it ever goes on sale there first). Or maybe I think the game + xpac is only worth $10 and won't buy it from anyone just yet? If GoG wants to make sales, they have to stand out not just be 'yet another DD service' because that will just get them crushed by the competition.

On top of that, it's a bad precedent. We already see EA games being sold without the x-pacs, and now they are selling an x-pac separately? That does not seem a little... suspicious... to you? One of the big draws for GoG is they give you the complete experience all in one package for one good price... and now they want to charge extra for that? No thanks.

They do stand out. Quite a bit. Maybe not on every single item they sell. Maybe not in the way you want (price). But they do stand out in a myriad of ways.

They have a selection of games not always available elsewhere. They often have their extras. And they are DRM free. Your not caring about this does not mean it doesn't help them stand out.

Robbeasy: This post has absolutely nothing to do with Spellforce...just a massive +1 for your forum name - it made me giggle.

No, they are not SPAM. They are reviews of GOG's release, which is exactly what every review on this site here should be.

Then it is truly terrible to see how underrated Master of Orion 3 is, isn't it? They give a HD wallpaper, the full soundtrack and 9 artworks included! Can you explain everyone please, why isn't it a 4-star item then?
