Prepare your bandages, antiseptics, painkillers, knife, sleeping bag and everything else you might think will be useful, as Silmarils' Robinson's Requiem Collection tests your survival skills for just $5.99.
The pack consists of two games: Robinson's Requiem and its "unofficial" sequel - Deus. In the former you play as a Robinson - to the public an explorer of uncharted space, in reality someone dangerous to society, blundering through space in a sabotaged ship. You crash-land on a dangerous planet with little more than your wits and bare hands to help you escape. In Deus you're a bounty hunter, sent to find the HQ of a terrorist organization on a similarly hostile world. Both are highly survival-oriented first person perspective games. "What I cannot see cannot hurt me" doesn't apply here.

I love u! :D
This is the first game released on GOG I have *NEVER* heard of!
So, I'll be waiting to see what those of you who have heard and played have to say.
It reminds me somewhat of Metal Gear Solid 3. As far as survival and medical, but certainly more complex. It's got my interest. Will have to wait until after I get paid to grab it though.

Ois: This is the first game released on GOG I have *NEVER* heard of!

same here. never heard of the game, which is either a good or bad thing depending on viewpoint.
Well, that was completely unexpected. I saw a Let's Play of the first game, it looked pretty interesting. Definitely $6 worth of interesting, once I finish with some other stuff.
Never heard of this game before either. It does seem interesting and I've added it to my list of games to check out from this site.
OMG! What a surprise, this is something I had NEVER expected.
I own both these games, but the first I own for the Amiga, and the second I've never been able to run. The first was somewhat flawed, I seem to remember, but it was completely unique and incredibly appealing in its own way.
I'm buying these. Definitely. Wow.
Edit: Can we expect more Silmarils-games in the future? I always wanted to try Transartica...

I hope so. I suggested transartica to them (a few times now I think :) )
i think i played the demo of the second game on a magazine cover disc... back when there were games magazines...
Don't remember much about it though.. i think its main feature was lots of death animations.
I love Robinson Requiem :) It's really worth to try guys! :)

Hehe, AFAIK it's insanely difficult. :)
I've played Robinson's Requiem years ago, and it was fantastic. I believe there is no other game that could be better described as 'survival'. Alone in a hostile world you have to be very careful and look out for different diseases, fractures etc. which if left untreated may, and often do, become lethal. $6.00 for RR and Deus is a steal, I'll be buying those as soon as I find me some job (anyone wants to hire a young and enthusiastic gamer? I'll gladly send my resume).
Oh, and I do hope that this is not the last time we hear the name Silmarils on GOG. Ishar series anyone?
EDIT: Some spelling.

I never expected you guys to release Robinson's Requiem, let alone Deus and it for the same price.
I've been trying to locate Robinson's Requiem, but everytime someone sells them, it's over $70 they're asking for it. Plus that's just the first game.
I don't know how else can I show my gratitude but saying HUGE THANKS with capital letters. THANKS GOG.com!
You won't hear from me for the next few weeks since I'm off to being stranded on a strange island! :D
Wow what can i say thank you so much Cog. For years i have been looking for these games after having played the atari falcon version of robertson requiem .
When 1st released Robinson was one of the first survival games. Its Hard but really rewarding.
Thanks agin you guys are the best.
