Today a more modern Electronic Arts release joins the catalogue, and we bet most of you didn't see this one coming. Time to choose your class and fight for the cause of right!

Nox is an isometric action-RPG mix from the masters at the famous Westwood Studios. You are Jack Mower, an ordinary guy living his ordinary life. But one day, due to a cosmic accident and the actions by the evil Queen of Necromancers, you're being sucked out of this universe by your own TV and transferred to a fantasy parallel universe called Nox. We're not sure, but we think the moral of Nox is "Don't watch too much TV." Who says gaming doesn't spread positive messages?

Jack, though, seems in a bit of a spot. It won't be a surprise if we tell you that the world Jack got into is in danger and he's the one that can save it, right?

The beginning seems easy, you need to choose your class and get into action. But the choice isn't as easy as you think it is as every class has its own starting point, story, ending, and gameplay mechanics, so choose your path wisely or just prepare to beat the game 3 times. As a warrior you'll be slashing and crushing your enemies with the huge arsenal of melee weapons available in the game, but you won't be able to use magic. The wizard is a mighty magician with a spellbook full of magic tricks you can use to attack enemies, make yourself invisible, teleport, and more. Wizards can't use weapons, though, so there's no backup if the spells run out. The last path you can choose is to play as the conjurer who can summon monsters and wild animals living in the world of Nox and use them to do all his dirty work, while also healing himself and his allies and, last but not least, using bows to help your critters out.

If you finish the game with all 3 classes and want more there are fun multiplayer modes that are inspired by the FPS genre like deathmatch, capture the flag, "King of the Realm" (aka king of the hill), and even a co-op mode! That's a hella lot of fun gameplay for only $5.99, so go get it now!
D:!

I heard about this game all teh time on this fourm, And now its here D:

Must get.... When i get payed... And then when i buy that £800 my laptop ;_;

But then i will be able to lan with my mate :D
Awesome release. I just recently played the Diablo series and I'm NOT looking forward to D3 at all, mostly because of the online restrictions and the auction house. So it is indeed great to see another, well made, alternative available to me.
I just moved a couple weeks ago and found my original cd's, but it was a 3 disc set and I could only find 2 of them. So this is awesome timing. Great game.
HALLE-f**kingLUJAH!!

One of my favourite games. beats the crap out of both diablos like batman out of depowered superman
Diablo clone I havent yet played? Looks interesting :D I have to pick it up later *wishlisted*
Huh, I remember watching my cousin play this. I may pick this up later.
Never heard of this before. Like the isometric look so wishlisted for now
I think I really liked Nox when I first played it, if I remember correctly.

I think it had some nice humor and a bit more story-focused gameplay than most hack and slash-games. I don't remember too well though, should probably buy it when I can and renew my memories :)

thank you.

redeemed.
I have been a bit dissapointed with the releases the last couple of months or so (classics perhaps, but games that have not aged very well - like Ultima I-IV, though they will be interesting enough if they follow up with Ultima V-IX), but this release is very exciting. Nox is one of the best games I have ever played, and I will definitively buy it, play it and love it (again).
Finally. I couldn't find this game anywhere. This is what GOG is all about. Thanks.
I bought this when it was first released at retail and loved it. The only reason I stopped playing was because my rig back then was really weak. I never stopped appreciating the wonderful lighting effects and humor in the game, not to mention the secret nooks and crannies in each level.

I still own it on CD-ROM, but like just about every CD-ROM game I own that's available on GOG.com I am almost always happy to replace it when it's tweaked to work on modern systems. I'll be picking this up soon for sure - thanks for bringing back an old favorite yet again, GOG.com! :D
This was unexpected but great. Yet another (A)RPG I've only tested but need to finish. :)
I searched this for years... now it's there... thanks!

Gyrocoptor: Oh my, a Westwood Studios game! Here's hoping we'll get Command & Conquer on GOG!
You know you can still get Command and Conquer - heck most of the older series games in the 1st Decade collection that is still on sale. All on CD and I don't recall there being any DRM stuffs with it - a great way to get most of the classic Westwood games up to Red Alert 2

As for Nox I remember this game from the Red Alert preview videos (back when released games had little tidbit videos of the developers next project slipped into them - rather like a VHS or DVD of a film). I'm mighty tempted to get it and give it a try since being burned so badly by the "Diablo 3 requires fulltime online connection - yeah even for your single player lot"
