The previous Might and Magic titles received a really warm welcome from the GOG community. It was our duty to add the next part of this classic series to the catalogue.

[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/might_and_magic_7_for_blood_and_honor]Might and Magic 7: For Blood and Honor is a first-person perspective cRPG and is considered by many to be the best installment of the series.
A deep, involving storyline with memorable characters and many endings is to be expected of a game with such a strong pedigree, and there's enough of it to keep you busy for weeks. The story comes packed with great presentation, especially its absolutely phenomenal musical score.
What's more, if you're a fan of Heroes of Might and Magic, you're in for a treat, as you'll no doubt recognize many of the monsters from the third part of the series.
Finally, Might and Magic 7 features its very own trading card game, called Acromage. Its rules are simple, but it's a full game in its own right and you might end up playing the RPG just to feed your Arcomage addiction!

trebor8273: Leifern if you have nothing nice to say why even bother to post? i for one would not post if i did not like a game.

ChaunceyK: I don't mind a post from someone who doesn't like a game...I just find it pointless to say "I don't like it" without giving reasons why. I myself love M&M 3-5, but I don't like the real-time combat of the following M&M games. I just prefer turn-based combat. But M&M6 is in the M&M 6-pack that I have from here, so maybe some day I will give it another try.
You know you can pause while in combat to change to turn-based mode, right?

chautemoc: Cheers on the low price, bought right away where I normally would've wishlisted.

And I second the motion for Dark Messiah. Yum.
Uh, the only Dark Messiah we could ever get here would be gutted singleplayer only game (multiplayer uses Steam exclusively).
This is great news!
I was looking all over the place for this ever since I heard about it in reviews for 8 & 9 saying that both jumped the shark after 7 reached the highest point for M&M games.

Kinda like Heroes slowly rolling down crap hill after the release of 3.

Congrats to GoG for finally making the game easy to find again.

Yes, but its still not quite the same. I preferred the original grid-based movement, too. I realize M&M would have been left behind if it hadn't changed with the times, its just a matter of too many changes from what I liked.

Vitek: Great one.
I think you made a lot of people incredibly happy today.
Today is a good day. :D

Damn, true. Still, I'd happily put down money for it, especially if it's $6.

Real-time? Nonono. You can chose between turn-base or real time by pressing a key. I have played through M&M 6, 7, 8 without ever using real-time combat. I guess most players of this series did the same.

A truly excellent game for all fans of old school RPGs. If you haven't played a Might & Magic game before (especially MM6-9) I'd probably recommend starting with MM6 - if only because MM7 has a somewhat more complicated skill system and features a couple pf particularly drab autumnal environments early on which aren't nearly as enjoyable and welcoming as the sunny, pastoral settings of New Sorpigal in MM6. The mid-end game is a ton of fun, though.

You actually CAN do that? Damn!
I know, for some [many] it may be obvious, and they'll laugh at my lack of wisdom, just as i laugh at people who recommend using the mouse for walking in World Of Xeen, because they don't know CTRL+LEFT/RIGHT makes You strafe. I feel punished now...
Already got two copies of this, one from M&M Millennium Edition and one from M&M Platinum Edition.
Great game though, nice to see it join gog's library.
My favourite game of the series - though for some reason or another I never quite got 'round to completing it - despite at least three/four attempts that each got me a good 80% through the game...

Well, I can't really comment on that because I got into the series with 6, so it all feels natural to me.
I have this game lying around here.... Somewhere.... -_- Gah, maybe I should just rebuy it.
Playing it right now (CD version) with the latest GrayFace patch.

And damn those designers who placed water magic master teacher and bow master teacher in Nighon.

Also had fun running throught Titan's Stronghold to pass the promoting quest for my archers to become master archers so that they could learn master in air magic which includes ability to cast invisibility which I needed for passing throught Titan's Stronghold in the first place:-)

Will buy the MM7 from GOG soon.
