The previous Might and Magic titles received a really warm welcome from the GOG community. It was our duty to add the next part of this classic series to the catalogue.

[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/might_and_magic_7_for_blood_and_honor]Might and Magic 7: For Blood and Honor is a first-person perspective cRPG and is considered by many to be the best installment of the series.
A deep, involving storyline with memorable characters and many endings is to be expected of a game with such a strong pedigree, and there's enough of it to keep you busy for weeks. The story comes packed with great presentation, especially its absolutely phenomenal musical score.
What's more, if you're a fan of Heroes of Might and Magic, you're in for a treat, as you'll no doubt recognize many of the monsters from the third part of the series.
Finally, Might and Magic 7 features its very own trading card game, called Acromage. Its rules are simple, but it's a full game in its own right and you might end up playing the RPG just to feed your Arcomage addiction!
Awesome! Hope that MM8 will also follow.
First, I want to thank again GoG for this release. Replaying M&M7 makes me even more happy than I would have expected beforehand. I must be really starting to grow old for being so sensitive to nostalgia. (。◕‿⊝。)

Just a word about Arcomage. I used to be quite fond of this mini-game when playing M&M7&8. So, a few years ago, I searched for a stand-alone version of it, which I did not find. But what I found instead was a great (and free) game inspired by Arcomage, named Marcomage, playable online. The community is very active, and with time this cards game has evolved and gone far away from the simplicity of the original Arcomage.
I have spent countless hours playing it (had to stop at some point. Really had to). I'm sure many of you would like to give it a try. Here is a link to Marcomage: http://arcomage.netvor.sk

( This is not intended to be some spam of any sort. I just want to share with my fellow gamers this long lasting and worthy game. And there are very nice people there to talk to and play with.)

Woo hoo! I had this game when it first came out but lost one of the disks and wasn't able to play for a long time. Now we just need to wait for 8! One thing I'm having a problem with though, the intro movie doesn't work. It ran fine the first time I played but not since. I have grayface's patch installed. I tried enabling/disabling MP3 music, and turning 3d acceleration off and on all to no avail. Not a big deal but I do enjoy the movie.
Already purchased! Great release GOG. As long as you keep releasing RPGs I will continue to buy.

Cheers

Zingrad: Didn't like the combat system in MM6. I'm guessing this is more of the same?
It is similar but you have the ability to move a few steps in turn based mode.

3DO released it as a stand alone game but it was only available on download.

During my 3 years at University I slowly played my way through MM 6 and finishing it ranks up with one of my top gaming experiences ever. It tool me many false starts until I found a party that worked for me, but once I figured out the deep game mechanics I was in RPG heaven. I've been trying to find this game for years and now I'm finally playing it thanks to GOG. It is everything I thought it would be and look forward to many months exploring and finding what the world has to offer and building up my party so ican slay anything in my way.

Perhaps it was disabled by grayface's patch? I know he disabled the movie that is displayed when you die in M&M VI. If that is so you can probably find a place in the ini file for the grayface patch (not the M&M VII ini file) where you can turn it back on.

Or maybe it is an feature of the original game? Maybe it can be enabled again in the ini file for the game itself?

I actually never ran the game without the patch. Right after I installed it after downloading it from gog, I applied the patch. The intro movie played fine the first time but no other subsequent run. It runs fine on my daughters laptap.
I was wrong about the ini file in M&M VI anyway. The patch uses the same ini file as the original game does so there is just one ini file.
Perhaps you should just backup your save folder and reinstall the game. Then you can run the game once without the patches (don't save your game yet), quit and then install the patch.
