Many of you in the forums got it right: the awesome game coming exclusively to GOG.com is Little Big Adventure a.k.a. Relentless: Twinsen's Adventure if you played the American version! Brought to you in fully-localized glory, Little Big Adventure is available right now for just $5.99.

You are Twinsen, a Quetch, who are one of four races (Grobos, Rabbibunnies, Spheros, and Quetches) living under two suns on the Twinsun planet. All races coexisted peacefully until the evil Doctor FunFrock discovered how to clone and teleport. He uses these two inventions together to create his very own army which he used to conquer Twinsun by force. Resistance is futile! The only hope is in the mythic Sendell, the benevolent goddess of the planet, who has found a possible hero to help her make the world safe for everyone: a young quetch called Twinsen who has been having the strangest dreams. Unfortunately, in this heavily surveilled society, even dreams are monitored. The evil Dr. FunFrock’s forces have noticed Sendell’s attempt to contact Twinsen via visions while he sleeps, and have arrested the young quetch for his crimes.

For those of you who haven’t played Little Big Adventure, it is primarily an adventure game with clever inventory-based puzzles and captivating conversations with a wide array of characters, but the main focus here is on the action part of the game. The fully 3D character and items model look fantastic, presented in an isometric view while you explore the enormous world. Made up for 11 vast islands with over 120 scenes to jump, run, kick, and talk your way through, Little Big Adventure is definitely a big place to roam. Speaking of which, you can control your hero in four different modes. Normal mode is for walking around and talking to people, Athletic mode grants the ability to run and jump like a parkour maniac, Aggresive mode is the battle mode for maximum damage, and last (but not least!) you can choose Discrete mode in which Twinsen will move stealthily, creeping from shadow to shadow in hiding..

Wait no more! Grab Little Big Adventure for $5.99 with the full exclusive to GOG.com goodies pack (including unreleased design sketches, artworks, and cinematic shots) and embark on the biggest little adventure you’ve ever seen!

Little Big Adventure is in EFIGS which means that it has five different language options:
- English (full voice & text)
- French (full voice & text)
- Italian (text only)
- German (full voice & text)
- Spanish (text only)

kalmis666: Not familar with this at all

Eclipse: this one and the sequel are like, the best games ever made. LBA2 is truly a masterpiece, and LBA1 is great too.
Controls are a bit hard at first, as those are games pre-3d platforms era (the first LBA is older than Mario 64 for example), but are both an amazing experience, you should check some videos on youtube
Best games ever you say. Ok I'll have a look at some videos.

RamzesXIII: YES!!!!!

Now waiting for the sequel... and then I can peacefully die.

Renesans: You can't die until LBA3 is out! ;)

People who love LBA, please buy this release, this way you can support the developers (Didier Chanfray SARL is listed as publisher, and Didier Chanfray is one of the key people who created LBA). And if there's sufficient interest, they might consider creating a second sequel (LBA3).
I will :D
Great release, GOG! Thanks a lot.

However, I am really annoyed by the aggressive ogg compression you use on all your released DOSBOX games with redbook cd audio, the bitrate is simply too low and artifacts are audible!

Agree! Really bad. It's not original quality after that.
When people were discussing this in the forums it sounded familiar, but I couldn't quite place it. Now that I see the screenshots I remember having this game as a kid. Pretty hard game I remember. I might check this out later, just have a backlog of 300 games to go through first :D

NO! Leave Twinsen as it is. After X-Com and Syndicate, I don't dare imagine what would happen to Twinsen in a modern game. If anything, that's a great reason for everyone *not* to buy the game.

*Though everyone still should =)
will pass for now

as long as its from the same maker, why not? it would be in the same spirit as opposed to the many remakes where they just used a name of a game that was once populair.

thats why i also think the remakes and possibly a new larry could hopefully work.
telltale games ain't doing bad either with monkey island and sam and max (though it could be better and slightly less easy)

This.

It's a nono. Please GOG, fix it.
Awesome game, just bought it (even though I still have the original). I am a little surprised that the soundtrack isn't available.
Thank you Based GOG.
It's weird, this game looks so familiar to me from the screenshots, but I'm pretty sure I never played it. Maybe I watched someone else play it a long time ago? Anyway, thanks for adding this game to the catalogue, it looks promising and seems to be very popular.
Here's a query - the download size listed on the page is 184MB, but the actual filesize is 417MB.

Soundtrack is available in game's folder, as 9 OGG files.
