This is a far better deal than AvH, since CvH can be modded to near-modern standards.

Best thing is it is already modded to v1.11.1 with the suupersweet Hind cockpit!
I recently found my old eech cd in the basement and tried to patch it to v1.11.1. Only to have a very nasty Graphic bug that made it unplayable.
Now I downloaded the GOG version and it works like a charm!
I'd really like to hug the whole GOG team! Thanks for that.
Now excuse me, I have to fly the crocodile.

Does this game use, or work properly with, current joysticks and throttles?

Are the Enemy Engaged games hardcore simulators? or they also allow some arcade mode or something less hardcore?

You can turn the realism and dynamics down so the game is a lot simpler.
It is very easy to get into and you don't need to remember a million key commands (although there are a lot, you just don't need most of them for the basic controls).
