We're expanding the Enemy Engaged series with today's addition of Comanche vs Hokum to the ever growing catalogue of Good Old Games.
Enemy Engaged: Comanche vs Hokum is the sequel to Enemy Engaged: Apache vs Havoc. Not only is it an improved version of the game, it is also interconnectable with it, meaning you can do missions from the prequel's campaign, only in a chopper from the sequel, and vice versa. In this title you get to fly the American stealth recon chopper, the RAH-66 Comanche, and its high-performance Russian counterpart, the Ka-52 Hokum. The game is absolutely non-linear, as you'll be fighting in dynamically changing conflicts over Lebanon, Taiwan and Yemen. Our release comes with the 1.11.1 patch, courtesy of the guys at EECH Central.
Excellent, instant buy, thanks!
It's good to see my guess in the old Apache forum was true. That I would guess right within hours of the release is even better :D
I am sure this will be falling into my cart soon enough along with a bunch of others I've been holding in there.
Hell, I haven't even downloaded the first one, let alone the second!
Uh, oh. Nothing for me here.
*moves along*
Another one for my ever growing to buy list, I love you guys :)

GOG.com: ... snip ...

There's a typo in the description:
the infamous Rusian Ka-52 Hokum
should be
the infamous Russian Ka-52 Hokum
...and I don't know if there are others I've missed
Been wondering whether or not I should get any newer helicopter simulator, since I managed to get the first Comanche working in DOSBox...
I'll pass....definitely not my cup of tea.
Bugger, definitely interested in this (especially after apache vs havoc ran a bit crap) but haven't the cash at the moment.
Not my type of sim really.
This does appear to be one of the few games here where it links in with content from another.
wikipedia : I take it EECH Central are the modding team behind the patches after the source code was released. Neat to see the unofficial made more official.
Ah, the days of 200+ page manuals :P It's good that gog carters the flight sim player niche as the genre is more or less non-existant these days.
Anyway, I'll have to pass as my flight sim days are long past nowadays :)
Woot! As I promised, now I'll buy this and Apache vs. Havoc. Thanks GOG!

Miaghstir: the infamous Russian Ka-52 Hokum

thanks, I must missed this :)
I wish I had time to play this, but I know that I don't.
It's awesome to see EECH here at last, however! Another extremely worthy addition to the catalogue.
