I didn't really say anything when the regional price issue happened a few months back, mainly because I'm Canadian and therefore don't have such problems. On the other hand I'm wondering that if games are being removed because of the regional pricing is it really worth it to have the same prices worldwide? Yes maybe that would be going against GOG principles, but it was never the main principle. GOG main Principle is and always will be DRM free something that I know every consumer can get behind. It's bad enough that publishers are withholding stuff from the site because of no DRM and now this? it's just Awful.

The sad part is judging by the wording of some of GOG statements it looks like we are lucky that we are only missing 30 or so games and it could have been more. I understand that regional pricing is stupid, but so is it affecting the GOG catalog.

Even though I have everything I really want out of the games being removed I still hope to see a return of all these games because let's face it. GOG already received it's biggest blow this year when all the Fallout games were removed i hate to see it get hit again only months later.

I want the games on GOG! Even if I don't have the money to buy them, I'd rather have them here so that other people with the means, can afford them.

Yes, because other people exist to sponsor YOUR preferences and YOUR compromises with THEIR money so the people who adjusted their business habits on GOG after the 'Good News' debacle and caused a big enough impact on the bottomline to make GOG rethink its strategy, in order to kind of meet those people half way, are definitely to blame and can definitely be chalked up on the board as "dirty cheapstakes against having more games on catalogue" . But yeah, i guess you're right, GOG would be a lot better off if those people had kept the money faucet permanenty closed and moved on entirely.

Good job misrepresenting the situation with the 2-3 bucks bullshit, in case you forgot the 3 regionally priced titles introduced with the 'Good News' clusterfuck were pre orders for TW3, D:OS and AoW3. So, please, tell me again about cheapstakes and the 2 or 3 bucks price tag.

btw, from those 3 i preordered TW3 and AoW3 (paid in Euros, not in dollars or rubbles or whatever, Euros and i did "SPENT 50% MORE!!11oneone"), what about you ? The reason i'm asking is because i want to make sure i'm mimicking a model of adequate spending such as yourself in order not to be mistaken for a 90% off or bust kind of customer the next time i object to being charged way, way, way more than the US base price + European highest VAT rate (HIGHEST mind you, not the proper local VAT or even an European average VAT, HIGHEST)

Personally I'd recommend picking up Summoner and maybe Red faction 1 from that list.

Exactly. I don't know if their raging earlier this year is why Nordic is now leaving, but I'm betting it didn't help. GOG has proven that they are willing to work with people to compensate them for more expensive regions. If you don't like it, then leave. There are always more gamers wanting DRM free games to make up for your absence. There are only so many publishers willing to put up with pricing restrictions, though.

Still, I buy the Doc's explanation and hope to see them back up soon! There's a few wishlisted things in there, GOG! Bring'em back!

And what about PENUMBRA. I got it in the past exactly because of the hope that it will get Linux version eventually.

Bad news for GOG, bad news for the DRM-free ideology !

I am disappointed in the loss of games here, but I can only hope in the long run that this will have the consequence of forcing more publishers to bring their world wide prices closer together.
I also look forward to the reintroduction of these games in the coming years as I often feel it is us, the customers, who pay the highest price for all this regional bs in the lack of availability of DIGITAL goods.

I'm going to be optimistic and assume GOG will resolve things with Nordic. It seems like just the other week ThornNG (from Nordic) was hinting that Titan Quest could not come to GOG until they found a replacement for GameSpy (implying GOG Galaxy functioning) and that would be a heck of a plum for GOG (and likely a good incentive for Nordic).

I hope this will teach GOG not to listen to the noise of the rabble and to instead go with that which better serves the customer.

I bet that most of the guys who cried about the Regional Pricing will have no trouble in buying the missing games in Steam.

And I also wonder (even though I'm aware that this is a personal speculation) wether all those people who complained and whined and roared were really supporters of GOG's service.

Personally I have no trouble with regional pricing. And I own 400+ games on GOG.
And no, I'm not rich. I almost earn the minimum wage.

This is not about regional pricing because a lot of games have it since today. Look here. The problem seems to be related to the currency conversion but NOT regional pricing.
