desperados: Yeah but still there are too many classifications among members :) it's like we're in a military base with those people having badges and stars..helpful or not we're all potential customers of the GOG...purchasing a game is the best way to support GOG...then they should give you reps for purchasing a game? i don't really care about it
all the games i purchased from GOG just worked with click..you must be really unlucky to get a game that doesn't work for you if you are not having a uber old system from ages ago.
You seem to have missed the point. The rep does not indicate your support of GOG, it indicates your support of the GOG community (there is a difference). If you have not needed the community's help, great for you, but not everyone has been that fortunate (myself included). Also, its not all about just getting the games to work, sometimes it is something as simple as "I can't defeat enemy X on level 3, how do I do it?"
desperados: Yeah but it's already stated in the info just like this Minimum system requirements: Windows XP or Windows Vista, 1 GHz Processor (2 GHz recommended), 512 MB RAM (1 GB recommended for Vista), DirectX 8-compatible 3D graphics card with Hardware T&L support (GeForce FX 5xxx and above, ATI Radeon 9xxx and above recommended), Mouse, Keyboard. people should read before purchasing so they won't have future problems with the games they would buy.
Just meeting the requirements for a game does not guarantee that it will always work correctly. I just had a situation the other day where one of my GOG games, SHOGO, which I more than meet the minimum requirements for, was getting stuck in a cutscene. It was not a hardware or requirements issue, so rather than spend all day Googling for the problem, I posted a question on the forums asking if anyone else had encountered the issue and what they had done to solve it. That's part of what the forums are here for.
