jefequeso: EDIT: I really wish he'd at least put a link in the video description.
catpower1980: By seeing his response "Yeah.Didn't though.") in the comments when called on that, he really looks like an asshole... And the way he reads texts makes me cringe... Even Pewdiepie puts up links to every games he plays.
Oh well, in case, you don't have it in your links, here's a list of videogame youtubers with contact infos (or just the channel):
http://videogamecaster.com/big-list-of-youtubers I think I had another list like that but it's on my other computer, I'll try to search it.
Yeah, apparently he is. Always got that impression from him, although I never cared to watch any of his videos to find out.
Oh well.
Thanks for the list. I sent out emails when I first released the game a few months ago, but I'll probably send out another batch now that I have some Steam "street cred"
jefequeso: EDIT: I really wish he'd at least put a link in the video description. I consider that just a common courtesy, whether you like a game or not. Especially if you're a big hotshot Youtuber, and you're dealing with an unknown indie dev.
Fenixp: Meh, your game is of little interest to the group of people incapable of typing 2 words in Steam search bar.
edit: Well damn, The Moon Sliver is now listed amongst Steam's "Popular new releases" as opposed to ... well, regular new releases
Ooh, cool! :D
xxxIndyxxx: Yeah Jim Sterling really doesn't like these kinds of games. He has said that on multiple occasions. That being said: he spend a lot more time on the moon sliver then he did on many other so that must count for something and he wasn't really harsh on the game either. Also there a some positive comments too. I would consider this extra exposure. If he wouldn't have gotten stuck he might have even finished it and that would have been bad (I don't think a lot of people would still buy it if they would have already seen the entire game on youtube).
So why the fuck would he buy and play one? I made it perfectly clear in the description what the game is.
Just so he can stomp on someone who isn't as successful as he is? Then refuse to actually credit their work in any way? I mean, I like giving people the benefit of the doubt, but that's an incredibly dickish thing to do in your spare time.
I was glad to see that there were at least a few positive comments. It is interesting to me how the Youtube comments often align with the opinion of the LPer. LPs that have been positive toward my games usually have a lot of positive comments, LPs that have been negative usually have negative comments.
I wonder if it's because people tend to watch LPers that they agree with, or if it's because people's opinions are easily swayed. Or both.
