We're giving away 100 games a day to our users to celebrate our 5th birthday!
For the last 5 years we've been doing our best to bring the best games in history to your home computers. Now, we're celebrating our birthday, and we want you--our users--to have a blast! That's why for the next five days we'll be giving away 100 games a day via our different channels (the forums, social media, YouTube). The details of each giveaway will be revealed on day to day basis, so make sure to drop by daily and see what are we up to.
Today, we've planned something special for our long-time users, and it's all going to go down right here, right now--in the forums. We'd like to honor the people who have been with us the longest. If you think you're one of these people, post a comment in the forum thread below. Include the number of days you're on GOG.com (just upload a screenshot of the "Days on GOG.com" of your Account Info Page--please include that number in your post as well, to make our job a little easier, thanks!) and give us a one-sentence statement on what was it exactly that made you register with GOG.com. The first 100 users with the most time since registering will be sent a $9.99 gift-code.
You have time until tomorrow, that's Tuesday, October 1, at 2:59PM GMT to enter the giveaway, as at that time we'll be moving to another communications channel with a new set of rules. So, GOG.com old-timers, show off how long have you been with us!
1524 days on GOG! :)

850 days for me... I remember hearing about gog for the first time, it was a few months after The Witcher's II release for free: drm free?! Was I dreaming?! Nope... I realize it's far too little to even contest but hey, I want to do it anyway.

However, it took a while before I added more games - it was quite a while after EA had been added that I actually got more games

1707 Days, that actually blows my mind....

Read an article about DRM free gaming, steered me to the site. I liked the DRM free downloads, and all my favorite games could be played even if I lost the discs =) (thought losing the discs is a tragedy unto itself.
1413 Days.

Joined to get the Tex Murphy two-pack, Martian Memorandum & Mean Streets. Stayed for the DRM-free goodness.

1,444 Days. I had a nostalgia for wanting to play Fallout 1 and 2 but my disks and box set were ruined when our house got flooded a few years back. I was redirected from an abandon ware site and thought GOG idea was great. Free drm and download anytime anywhere.

I'm terrible at making old games work, and there were games here that I could finally play without driving myself batty trying to get them to work. I started on April 29th 2009. 1615 days.

Well, I think the thing that got me to GOG was a post on Penny Arcade's forums. I checked the place out and thought it would be pretty cool to get Fallout DRM free. I also hoped that they would have some Sierra games down the road (wasn't disappointed there!)

So I have been a member for 1792 days. Signed up on Nov 2, 2008...

And have been loving it ever since.

1847 days. Iv been here since the beta.
1844 days, says my account info. Although I've been here since it all began, I just signed up later. I've always been fond of good old games, and when I knew there was a site dedicated to bring'em back in a fully compatible way with today's OS's, I had to be there. I don't really need a giveaway from you (although I've shamelessly enjoyed some already), that's why I don´t include a snapshot, but I wanted to say something in the celebration thread: thank you GoG, congrats in your birthday, may you (and us) have many more coming.
1845 days, I joined during the beta and bought the some classics like Giants and Freespace on buy one get one free
