We're giving away 100 games a day to our users to celebrate our 5th birthday!
For the last 5 years we've been doing our best to bring the best games in history to your home computers. Now, we're celebrating our birthday, and we want you--our users--to have a blast! That's why for the next five days we'll be giving away 100 games a day via our different channels (the forums, social media, YouTube). The details of each giveaway will be revealed on day to day basis, so make sure to drop by daily and see what are we up to.
Today, we've planned something special for our long-time users, and it's all going to go down right here, right now--in the forums. We'd like to honor the people who have been with us the longest. If you think you're one of these people, post a comment in the forum thread below. Include the number of days you're on GOG.com (just upload a screenshot of the "Days on GOG.com" of your Account Info Page--please include that number in your post as well, to make our job a little easier, thanks!) and give us a one-sentence statement on what was it exactly that made you register with GOG.com. The first 100 users with the most time since registering will be sent a $9.99 gift-code.
You have time until tomorrow, that's Tuesday, October 1, at 2:59PM GMT to enter the giveaway, as at that time we'll be moving to another communications channel with a new set of rules. So, GOG.com old-timers, show off how long have you been with us!
1847 days.

I signed up hoping to get back into a bunch of classic games I grew up with, many of which are nearly impossible to play on even the computer I had five years ago, much less today. Today, I have a rather impressive library, and couldn't be happier for it.

1400 days on the 30.9.2013 ... felt like a blink with an eye ;)

Stonekeep made me a fan of gog.com... it was so good to play it again, without setting up that old PC I stored for some of my older games. And then: oh look - they got HOMM3, and Might and Magic 6 and, and, and ... :)

1742 days here... Can't remember exactly why but it would have been an old rpg that brought me here.

1533 days and I remember joining because it was one of the only places to get games DRM free. Maybe I picked up Jagged Alliance? Can't remember. Happy birthday!
Older games on today's hardware was the reason I signed up. And you have not failed to provide entertainment (or lack of funds).

Only 4.6 years... How they've flown by...

I've been here for 1259 days. While, I haven't been with you guys as long as some, I've certainly valued what you guys have done with the site (and the philosophy it represents) as much as anyone.

I joined up to play my favorite CRPGs (Planescape, Baldur's Gate, Fallout, etc.) easily on new operating systems and found a bunch of other games I wanted to revisit or try in the process. It's also been great to see this site expand into new areas and grow by following and valuing user feedback. You guys are easily one of the most consumer-friendly companies in the games business, and one of the few commercial entities with whom I genuinely relish doing business.

I look forward to what you guys do in the future. Congratulations.
1351 days and I enjoyed each and every one of them (miss being called a Jedi by my profile, though)!

Back then, what drew me in was the chance to replay favourite classics (like the Tex Murphy games and several infinity engine RPGs) without any hustle but I now find myself buying many new releases as well.

Happy birthday GOG. I've been a member for 1285 days. When I first learned about GOG, it was in an issue of Game informer by the way, I was interested by the fact that you offered classic games that would run on newer systems with no hassle. After I surfed to the site I was impressed by the list of classic games that I had played as a kid and wanted to have the oppourtunity to try them out again. From the moment on I was sold on GOG! Thanks for all the great games and keep up the great work!

I registered to get a free copy of Beneath a Steel Sky!

Not as long as some, but longer than most is what I would say. Love, absolutely love the site, despite being a lurker mostly... :p

Nice selection of interesting old games you just can't get elsewhere, many of which I'd wanted to play for a while.

1300 days! I joined because I was looking for Caesar 3 but I have gotten a lot more good old games since then.

It's been 1600 days for me. The reason why I joined is because it is DRM-free and I can download them anytime, I can make local backups and the games are updated if major issues are found with modern computers.
