We've already decorated our tree. We've started the sale. But seems like we're forgetting something.

Oh! That's right! It's not the holidays without a chance to visit GOG.com, looking for new and interesting ways that Coala has photo-chopped wintery iconography into them. It's a tradition that we're continuing for our fourth year!

The contest is simple: go through our catalog; we've edited 12 images, scattered across our wide selection of games, to include obvious holiday references, such as santa hats, Christmas trees, or reindeer. For an example, take a look at one of our screenshots from last year:

When you’ve got them all, list them all in an email to "contest@gog.com" with the subject line being "GOG.com 2012 Scavenger Screenshot Hunt". From every valid application we will pick 10 winners who got all the games right and gift them two games from the entire catalog. The contest ends on Tuesday December 25th 2012 11:59 GMT.

Or, I suppose, on the 21st of December when the world erupts in fire and doom. But if we're still around after that, then we'll end the contest officially on the 24th. ;)
I'm assuming if it's christmassy but it doesn't look like clipart pasted on to the picture then it's actually a part of the game?
Pro-tip: Do NOT do this at 2 in the morning on a work day. Just don't.
I think I am done. So need to email the list of the games or the list of images?
I thought it was just the list of names we have to give them.

Found 8 so far....having a massive drought at the moment though.

Gosh with all this searching for pictures I might forget to spend money in the sale.

Frankly with all this drawn out searching, everybody who enters the correct answers should get a game. :/

Just found the 12th, and I've already sent the e-mail to GOG.

Well, I found all 12 and each one was very clip-art-y, no doubts about any of them.

They were all really colorful too, so it was very easy to check "monochromatic" games like Primordia. Everything is brown or grey? Ctrl+W, next game.
Found all 12, so you definitely just email the name of the games to them?

I believe so.
It's what I did....

If you think about a snowman in Chaser, "sugar canes" in Tyrian (this one almost tricked me) or "elven in green hats" in Patrician - then no : )
(hope it doesn't break the hunt for anybody...)
12/12, e-mail sent.
Yeah there were a couple other games with in-game snowmen in them too, as well as one with what looked like a blurry picture of a (rein?)deer, and one with a "Merry Christmas" banner that in fact were all actual screenshots of the games. So, you all just be careful out there!
...and (I can't stop myself from saying it) there is one winter-related in-game screenshot for one of the games you have to find : )
I give up i cant find the last 2.... xD good luck people
